Shredthorn walked on into the apprentices den wondering if the one he seeked would be here. He had heard of this cat from friends and siblings but he did not know her personaly. The tom looked around the den and put on a weak smile. Rosepaw? Are you in here? He asked.

Rosepaw had not been training recently so most of her time was spent sitting in her nest looking at the roof of the den. She heard her name and automatically jumped to her paws. "I'm in here!" She mewed looking around for the source of the voice but there was only a fluffy warrior. "Did you say my name?" She questioned padding up to the warrior.

Shredthorn nodded as the she cat walked up to him. Yes I did actually. I'm Shredthorn. My little brothers have told me about you and I told them I wanted to meet the little lass myself. He said with a smile.

Have you started your training yet? He asked, trying to begin a conversation.

"Your little brothers eh? Who are they?" Rosepaw mewed sitting down. SHe licked her paw and swiping her paw over her head. "I almost started but then my mentor bailed, so basically no." Rosepaw mewed looking crestfallen. "Wait who are you calling a little lass? Me, well I suppose you are correct." She mewed giving him an uncertain glare.

Shredthorn smiled as Rosepaw gave him a glare. Duskpaw and Fangpaw. He said. Well, if you need extra training you can ask me. And yes I called you a "little lass". Shredthorn said.

"Well since you are in here we may as well talk, as you know I am Rosepaw." She mewed plopping down onto her behind and smiling at him.

Shredthorn nodded in agreement, and sat next to her. Well, are you enjoying new-leaf? I know that is the usual question, but yeah. He said with a nervous smile.

"Yeah it is nice, there is plenty of prey and everyone seems to be happy!" She purred. She thought of something to say and came up with something. "Did you hear an elder in FireClan got 6 apprentices?" She meowed.

Shredthorn blinked in surprise. Why no I did not hear about that. What in the name of CloudClan is going on there? He asked, rather puzzled. Their main elder getting six apprentices? Gees.

Rosepaw shrugged. "They must be short on Warriors." Rosepaw shrugged. She felt oddly comfortable around Shred.

Shredthorn nodded. Of course, why oh why are warriors scarce there? He wondered. Yeah, but we don't really have much of a problem with that here. He said, and smiled at the young apprentice.

"Yeah we have so many kits and apprentices in this Clan I think Rock, Fire and IceClan must be jealous." She purred. She gazed ahead uncertainly out the Apprentices' Den entrance, if all the Clans teamed up they would then only have a chance to defeat TreeClan. "Hey did you hear that DeathClan attacked one of our patrols?" She mewed looking at him again and loosing her uncertainty which was replaced by fear.

Shredthorn nodded. Yes actually, I did. I wonder why though. He said, and sighed.

"What if they attack one of our young apprentices that haven't beeen trained much yet? They could seriously injure one." She whispered in a scared voice.

Shredthorn noticed the thought scared her of apprentices being attacked. Well, hopefully mentor's train their apprentices some before they are taken on a patrol like that. I believe there was one apprentice on that patrol, but the warrior may have been the only one hurt. He said, and looked over at Rosepaw. Either way, apprentices' are not aloud out into the territory without a warrior so you should be safe. All warriors are required to know battle. Shredthorn added and sighed.
