Fleetpaw sneered at the new batch of apprentices, lifting his chin up and purposely tripping them over. With them moving in, there was hardly enough space for Fleet to move. And for such a lofty apprentice, he needed to have his personal space. One worthy enough for a prince like him.
“Clumsy oafs,” he muttered, rolling his charteuse eyes.
The tuxedo tomcat weaved his way out to the entrance, where he was blocked by another apprentice. Growling, he lashed his tail.
“Get out of my way, peasant.”
[Ohmygod. Still can't get over the fact that Fleet acts like Draco Malfoy. eue]

"Wait your turn, drama queen." Pinepaw retorted, olive eyes glittering with irritation.
The apprentice den was so cramped, and with his mentor playing a disappearance act, the tabby tom felt like he was taking up unnecessary space most of the time. Unless he was sleeping, the tom tended to spend the main proportion of his time outside of the den, either trying to practice alone or stalking his clanmates to find some juicy secrets.
He wasn't proud of it, but boredom drove him to incredible ends.
He had been able to leave again when an unknown tom blocked his path and had started insulting him right off the bat. Well, it wasn't very easy to drive Pinepaw to anger, but that didn't mean he would stand up for himself. Especially against toms who sounded like they were just hitting the emotional stage of puberty.
"What's with the sharp tongue? I don't recall doing anything blatantly obvious to insult you."
[Heh, Draco Malfoy character? I need me a piece of that.]

Fleetpaw’s onyx and white fur fluffed up just a little bit at the insult, a beginning of a snarl forming on his face. His faded green eyes shot daggers at the longhaired oak tabby. He huffed, rolling his eyes.
“Last time I checked, you’re not my mother. So you have no bloody control over what I want or what I do. Got that, poofy?” Fleet snarled back, both infuriated and taunting.
The tuxedo apprentice sat back on his haunches, silently wishing he had mindless bufoons he could order around. But sadly, he had nobody. His gaze remained focused on the other male, the traces of his earlier sneer still mingling on his features. Why was he even acknowledging the mangy scrap of fur?
Fleet rolled his eyes again—a habit he had grown used to. “Everything you irrelevant worms do insults me. You lowlifes are disgusting. And what about my sharp tongue? The kittypet not tough enough to withstand it?” Fleetpaw bit harshly.

Silverpaw looked around the clearing. She grabbed some fresh prey, age it quickly, and then groomed her pelt better than she ever had before. She decided that today it was time for her to make friends. It just was. She padded out to three cats. She recognized one as Foreststep, whom had recently beco,e a warrior. She also recognized Pinepaw, whom she had a small crush on, and Fleetpaw, who she didn't know very well. She padded up to them. "Hi.", she mouthed. "Do you remember me from the nursery?", she asked. "I'm the deaf cat, Silverpaw."

[Wait, if Silverpaw is deaf, how come she learned words?]
Fleetpaw drew back with a snarl showing his ivory teeth. FIrst there was that brown one that acted as if he could order Fleet around, then now there's Foreststep the Useless, and another one who was doing weird things with her mouth.
Regaining his composure, the bicolor tom stood straight and tall, glaring at each one. "I didn't ask for an audience, so go away."

"Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. Besides, Foreststep is leaving so there is almost no one else here.", she said with a small smile. "And I will not leave, I don't have to, this is my den.", she mouthed in defense.

Pinepaw's features lit into an amused grin at the peeved reaction from the tuxedo tom. Tail flicking contently, the brown tabby chuckled. "And you have no idea how relieved I am. I can only imagine how painful it would be to have you as a son. Besides, are you implying that your mother somehow does have any control over what you want or what you do?" He questioned in curiosity, green eyes glittering with mirth. A laugh escaped him at the term the tom labelled him with, eyes slitting shut as his head lifted back with the volume of it. "Poofy! I like it."
As the apprentice continued his tirade, the easy going smile never wavered from Pinepaw's face, even as he answered. "No, but the kittypet can think of other things he'd rather be greeted by, rather than having razors grated over is ears."
Then suddenly cats were swarming all about and the tom suppressed a sigh of irritation. It was a warrior first, one who had no business in the apprentice den, even if he was looking for someone. Clearly if they wanted to be found, they wouldn't be hidden away in a den during the middle of the day. Then it was the odd little deaf female, apparently an apprentice now though Pinepaw couldn't understand why. Deaf cats couldn't hear prey, they couldn't hear orders, how she had learned words was beyond him. Oh yes she had told him that she had been 'taught'. But how do you learn words like 'so' and 'remember'? He didn't understand it, and he could very rarely understand her either. So the tom merely nodded to the female in greeting before switching his gaze back to the tom.

Silverpaw nodded back to Pinepaw, and smiled warmly. (Sorry, I have no idea what to put. Would you please set up a thread for us?)
