Sunshine and Rainbows (Dustpaw)

[Mistpaw]

(The title...it was the first thing I could think of..)

Mistpaw was now an apprentice and she was so happy about it. Now, she needed some apprentice friends instead of being a loner and never having anyone to talk to. She sat in her nest and softly sighed. The dark gray she-cat looked around for anyone to chat with. She saw a brown and white tom siting alone and she bounded over to him and spoke up quietly. Hello, I'm new to being an apprentice, and I need someone to talk to, may I talk to you? The new apprentice sat down, her dark blue eyes watching the tom.

[Dustpath]

(Hurr.)


Dustpaw looked over at a she-cat apprentice. Uh, Sure, I have nothing to do right now anyways. he said to her.

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw nodded as she began to think of something they could talk about. Who's your mentor? She figured it was probably someone she didn't know.

[Dustpath]

She didn't ask what my name was? Dustpaw asked himself. He shook his thoughts away and tried to remember who his mentor was.. My mentor's Duskfall, though I haven't met her yet.. he said. Talking about his mentor made him really want to train. He didn't know anything besides a few moves his friend taught him.

Who's yours?

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw realized that she was being rude, she didn't ask this tom his name. Oh! I'm so sorry, my name is Mistpaw. What is your name? He told her that his mentor was Duskfall and of course, Mistpaw had no clue who that was. You look like you could be a warrior already. My mentor is Silversky. She looked at the tom's huge size.

[Dustpath]

My name's Dustpaw. the calico tom said. Me? A warrior? Ha, I haven't even had one training session. he said after he had heard Mistpaw's comment. But he was taller than her.

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw smiled and flicked her tail tip. It's nice to meet you, Dustpaw. She lightly laughed at Dustpaw's answer, although he was much older than her he still hasn't had a training session unlike her, she had one this morning exploring the territory.

[Dustpath]

Dustpaw laughed a little. So... have you had any training time with your mentor? he asked, curious about the she-cat.

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw smiled when Dustpaw laughed. Actually, yes we went to explore the territory this morning. She felt bad for Dustpaw not having his first training session yet. "I'm sorry you haven't went training yet. She gave the tom an apologetic smile.

[Dustpath]

Yeah, that's ok. I have a bunch of friends that make my life somewhat less boring. But still, I wish I could help the clan instead of sitting here like a big fat lump. said Dustpaw to Mistpaw. He couldn't even hunt!

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw nodded at what Dustpaw was saying and she had felt the same way when she was a kit back in the nursery. Well, maybe I'll be a big lump right beside you. Her blue eyes sparkling with laughter.

[Dustpath]

Ha. Dustpaw said. He got up from his lumpy position. Do you want to do something? he asked the she-cat. It was nice to talk to her, but he wanted to do something besides just talk to her.

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw thought of things they could do. I don't know, what do you want to do? We could go out into the territory, but we might get in trouble by warriors if they came looking for us. She offered Dustpaw.

[Dustpath]

Nah, I'd rather not get in trouble.. Dustpaw said. He wouldn't know what to say if some warriors caught them out in the territory by themselves. He sighed and looked around the apprentice's den, then back at Mistpaw. We could.. he cut off. He didn't have any ideas.

[Mistpaw]

Mistpaw looked up at the ceiling of the den, trying to think of something to do. She grinned mischievously and playfully pounced on Dustpaw.
