Fawnkit trotted through the entrance of the rockclan medicine cat den. She had fallen onto a sharp rock when she was playing with her brother Reedkit. It has given her a cut and fawn was worried it might be going to get infected.
"Snakefang?" Fawnkit called, swishing her little bobtail.

I yawned and then, closed my mouth with a snap as I heard the little voice. I could smell blood, and I looked. Nobody. Then I looked down. "Fawnkit!" I said cheerfully. "How are you?" I had known her since, well, because a medicine cat usually knew their own Clan. "Are you alright?"

Fawnkit smiled brightly at the medicine cat. He was at Silversplash's kitting right? He'd literally known her since birth.
"I am alright. I was playing with my brother and i fell on a sharp rock. I think it might get infected." She meowed, giving him her best smile.
She put out her leg and showed him the wound. It wasn't much just a small cut that had mud crusting around it, like the rest of her legs and belly.

I picked up alder and rubbed it carefully onto the kit's wound. "It might sting, just to warn you, but believe me, it's better than having an infection. An infection hurts much worse," I said through a mouthful of alder. I set the herb down and began licking at the mud on her leg. Once her leg was clean, I wrapped her leg in cobwebs. "There!" I said, grinning at the young one. "I want to see that leg tomorrow. It would be better to be safe than sorry!"

As the pulp was set on her leg,she flinched and put her leg back out.
"Yes Snakefang." She meowed with a smile.
When the cobweb was put on her leg, smiled and licked his forehead. She swished her tiny bobtail and walked towards the entrace. She looked at Snakefang then spoke, "I love you brother." She meowed trotting out of the entrace and back to play.

'I love you brother.'
WHAAAAAA- I stared in surprise as the little bobtail kitten ran out of the den. Not sure of what to say, I cleaned my face for a moment, licking off all of the herb dust. That was...new. Fawnkit had called me brother. Suddenly, I looked up. And in a quiet voice, I said, "I love you too, little sister."

-pretending to be next day- Fawnkit returned to the den with a huge grin on her face.
"Hi Snakefang! I'm back!" Fawn meowed with a smile.
She was supposed to come in and have her leg checked. She danced on her white tipped paws excited about something.

I had been dreaming.
I was at the Shared Clearing, blood lapping at my paws. Wasn't this where the fight to the death had happened? My own blood chilled, I gazed around. "H-Hello?" I asked, wondering if there was anyone to answer me. Now, I had never been always a cat that said that you needed to look to CloudClan. Part of the time, I thought that the cat could solve their problems without their ancestors help. If someone broke the warrior code in our Clan, I wasn't going to be all like, "You have broken the warrior code. I must turn my back on you forever. Let CloudClan punish you."
I have never been that cat.
But now, I was praying. Hoping that one of my ancestors would show up, even as bitter as I felt towards them at the moment. It was haunting and eerie here, and I wanted someone with me. The moon shined down and the light reflected off of the blood. My heart hammered in my chest. I was about to take a step forward when-
"Snakefang!"
My name bounced around in my skull. I woke up and looked at the kit. My vision took a moment, but then I recognized the voice. "Hi, Fawnkit!" I said happily. Whew! Bad dreams are horrible!
I stood up, shaking moss from my pelt, and took a step forward. I leaned down and looked at Fawnkit's paw, inspecting it, and then I took the cobweb covering off. I found fresh cobwebs and wrapped them around her paw. "Your scratch isn't infected. Still, be careful!" I pressed my muzzle against Fawnkit's head.

Fawnkit noted his jumpyness when she called him name. Had she scared him by accident? Fawnkit smiled when he checked her wound. She felt his muzzle touch her head and she stood on her hind legs to try and touch his forehead with her soft little paws.
" I will. I'll come back if I need anything." She purred and landed back on 4 paws.
Fawnkit swished her bobtail and left the den happily.

I yawned and gazed after the little kitten, feeling a happiness that I hadn't felt in a while. I had been cooped up in this den for most of my life. Not many cats got injured, and it could get pretty lonely and boring sometimes. Some days, you'd organize your herbs until they were nice and neat. And then you'd have nothing else to do for the day. Currently, all of the herbs I had were stocked up full. I didn't have to collect herbs today. And because I couldn't leave the camp (in case someone was injured and had to come to my den), I decided to do something that I hadn't done in a long while.
I went to the back of my den, found some moss, rolled it into a ball, and ran out of the den. "Hey, Fawnkit!" I called. "Want to play mossball?"

Hearing her name she turned and ran back towards her brother.
"Why sure! Ihaven't played in years." Fawnkit meowed happily, crouching down and waggling her haunches playfully.

(Years? You mean ages? 'Cause a kit can't be a kit for years. They grow up eventually)
"Alright then!" I tossed the mossball over to Fawnkit. It felt good to play with a kit after so long. All I had to do nowadays was to sort herbs again and again and again and...Well, you get the idea. It felt good to just let loose after a while.

Fawnkit smiled and sent the mossball rolling bck towards Snakefang with a bat of her paw. She giggled softly and crouched down, jumping back and forth waiting for the ball to be tossed back.
"It's so much fun to play with you. How come you don't come out to even talk with Hawkstar or anybody? You look so lonely here in the den by yourself." She asked, standing up.

"Oh no, I do come out and talk with Hawkstar every once in a while. We're good friends," I said, tossing the ball back to her. The truth was, the question had sort of gotten to me. She was right. I was pretty lonely in here. Maybe I should socialize a little more often.

"Uh okay. So do you ever go hunting? Or are you stuck here?" She asked, sending the ball back towards him.
Fawnkit smiled and did a little hop and did a playfu, growl.
