I have been on VWW a lot lately and have been bursting with questions. Here are some:
If your name is a name from the books can you keep it?
How do you unlock messages?
If your mother adopted you do you have to tell your previous mother?
How come when you type in a clan or clan cat name it says it is misspelled?

Those are some of the questions I have asked and if you have answers respond!

1. If you have a name from the books, that's only a prefix (Misty) then you can keep it. But if you wanted the name Mistyfoot we would say no. We only make exceptions of this if people made their warrior name before the Erins announced it in the book.

2. Unlock messages? I don't understand. .-.

3. If your mother adopted you then that's it. It means you were previously a rogue, kittypet or loner. Unless you get permission from staff to be half-clan, your mother is your biological mother, or you joined a rogue and had one adopt you.

4. Because names like Waspwing or Iceclan aren't real words, so spell check denies them.

I think I may know what Mistykit meant in regard to "unlocking messages".

Threads can be locked by staff, and that usually happens because a rule was broken or the thread wasn't meant to be posted in. Normal members can't change this.

If I'm wrong there, please correct me.

The reason we have a minimum of three words is because people generally spam with 1-2 words. Using less than three words is considered spam. Right now, since you didn't know, you're just getting this little verbal warning, and will probably get a few more if you do the same. But breaking rules multiple times, or breaking multiple rules at once, can result in warning bars and even banishment from the site.

hi im new i dont see a cat in the upper left corner how can i sleep sharpen claws etc?

The cat in the upper corner is generally only in the Clan boards. BTW if you're new how'd you know about that?

If you want your character to sleep or sharpen claws, RP it. VWW isn't actually a video game. It's a role-playing site. You progress your character by writing about them.

So, to sharpen claws, you may say: Waspwing stretched and sharpened his claws on the tree trunk outside his den. Then he walked inside to prepare for bed.
