Lotuspaw mewed, "SPLASHPAW!!!!!!! I FOUND AN AWESOME THING!!!!!!!!" She ran to the entrance of the den.

"WHAT AWESOME THING???!!!" Splashpaw mewed. She started running in place. "SHOW ME NOW!" Splashpaw realized she was messing up a nest, sending moss everywhere. *whoops* She thought, trying to put the nest back together. She looked back up to the dark apprentice. "Show me!"

Lotuspaw flicked her ear and padded out of camp. Soft leaves crackled under her paws. When the 2 reached a pile of golden-orange leaves, she messed up the pile to reveal a few shells and a beautiful stone that seemed to sparkle under the sunlight. "How about this as our secret hide out?" Lotuspaw asked, making a small nest out of the leaves she had uncovered.

"Yes! secret hideout!" She looked at the stone. "It's so pretty! Where did you find it?" Splashpaw asked, making another nest.

"Well," Lotuspaw racked her brain, trying to remember what she was doing. "I was walking around exploring when I saw something shiny! And when I looked at where the sparkle came from, I saw these! So I hid them in a pile of leaves and ran off to find you." Lotuskit laid down in her nest. "I must have been the luckiest cat to have found this place!" she added, grooming her sleek black fur.

Splashpaw sat in her leaf nest and drew a wet paw over her ear. "Thanks for getting me! This is awesome!" Splashpaw then looked at the leaves around them. "Hey you were right. I kind of do blend in." She meowed, looking at her tail. She then suddenly thought of something that a kit told her. "I heard this cool joke. Do you wanna hear it?" She asked Lotuspaw, looking into her green eyes.

"Sure thing!" Lotuspaw agreed, string at Splashpaw's eyes. *Let me guess..... a boring one?* she thought.

(OMG I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT ELSE TO SAY. sorry for breaking the three lines only rule)

(haha it's fine. It took me like 20 minutes to post!)

"Okay,Okay, It's pretty mouse-brained, but here it is." She giggled at how stupid the joke sounded. "What did one cat say to another?" She laughed, kneading a bunch of leaves underneath her paws. She looked up to Lotuspaw. "Well?"

"Um....." Lotuspaw thought for a moment. "Meow? Purr?" Lotuspaw groomed herself. (okay, after you tell the riddle answer we get back to our 3 line rule.)

Splashpaw shook her head. "Have you heard the MEWS today??" She squeaked. "Get it?? Mews, and news??" She sighed.

Lotuspaw laughed. Then she heard thunder, and rain poured down. Worst of all, it was night. "Uh oh!" she mewed, looking at Splashpaw. (Let's pretend I told you this before.) She knew Splashpaw understood why she hated thunderstorms: The first time she saw one, her mother had died.

Splashpaw flattened her ears. She looked at Lotuspaw. "Let's go back into the apprentice den." She looked at the leaves around them. "We can re-build this later." Splashpaw ran back into the apprentice den, and huddled by Lotuspaw as she came in. "I hope that this is over soon!" She muttered, shutting her eyes and tried not to be scared.

(kk) Lotuspaw looked at the rain, trembling. "I don't know." she managed to squeak, her ears flattened. She was scared what might happened. She layed down and shut her eyes tight, falling asleep. Dreaming of her past. And suddenly on her dreams she saw her mother again, but she faded away. And she saw Stonekit, though he also faded. "Stonekit!" she yowled. If one cat was to see her asleep next to Splashpaw, they would see her tossing about and making moaning sounds.

Splashpaw felt something stirring next to her. She opened her eyes to see Lotuspaw moaning and twitching. She prodded her in the side. "Are you okay?" She asked, worried. "You were talking in your sleep." Lightning flashed again. Splashpaw shuddered. "You must have had a bad dream." She put more feathers in Lotuspaw's nest. "This might help."

Lotuspaw, despite the place where Splashpaw jabbed her, woke up perfectly fine. "I don't feel like sleeping..." she whispered. "Let's go to the leaf-pile." Lotuspaw got up and ran out of camp. Instead of a prickly, dry path, she was greeted with a slippery, wet path. Lotuspaw then reached her hiding place and looked back to see if Splashpaw caught up yet. Nope, not yet. Lotuspaw dug a small "cave" and made 2 nests out of the driest leaves she could find in it. Then, she placed the stones in the middle of the 2 nests. Perfect.
