Tanglepelt gave a shrug, looking away as though in distant thought.
"I tried to be on his good side, but I doubt he liked me much. I enjoyed him as a mentor, but I was probably really annoying as an apprentice. He was a good mentor, in my eyes."

Pinekit blinked, trying not to blurt out that that had been a..Somewhat boring answer. Instead he decided to instigate Tanglepelt a little further. "So, have you gone on any wild adventures? Cool battles, maybe?" He asked eagerly, now in the mood for a story.

Tanglepelt looked at the ceiling, trying to think of a story.
"Well … there was the one time IceClan left the mountains and traveled to a hot, hot place once."

Pinekit's eyes widened and he felt his muscles tense up. "Really?! That sounds amazing! You have to tell the entire story." He purred enthusiastically.

Tanglepelt gave a small purr of amusement.
"I have yo, huh? Well, it all began when Wildstar hopped on the meeting rock. She announced since it had been very cold this particular season, we were going on a little trip away from the mountains. We were all excited for a while. We began out long journey. When we finally reached the place, we were tired. It was very hot there, but it was freezing at night.
"After a moon or two staying there, we began to get impatient. Maplefrost and I went to go hunting, but we got stuck without water. We almost died if it hadn't been for a small hole of water Maplefrost found. Finally, Wildstar led us back to the mountains. I realized that no matter how cold it gets, I never, ever, want to go back to that sun burnt place."

Pinekit's jaw nearly dropped, and he couldn't help but wonder if any cats had...Not made it during the trip, or how the elders even had. "Wow..How did the other Clans react? Surely some of them would have tried to take our abandoned territory? I mean, doesn't Rockclan live on the other half of the mountains?" He whispered, a little confused at how it all worked out in terms of territory and 'politics'.

Tanglepelt gave a tiny shrug.
"I have no idea how they reacted. When we can back, the camp was all the same. I am guessing they didn't guess much. Probably thought we were lazy for not marking the borders. And, yes. RockClan is on the other half of the mountain."

Pinekit truly wanted to raise one brow, but couldn't since he was a cat. "That's odd. If Fireclan suddenly left their territory then you can bet I'd be on the patrol to claim their land as our own...Well, maybe not. Their prairies and rabbits sound a little...Weird." He mewed innocently, flexing his claws at the mental image of him as a warrior leading a patrol to an empty Fireclan camp.

Tanglepelt gave a small chuckle, nodding.
"Don't tell Emberstorm I said this, since he is a former FireClanner, but I don't understand cats who want to live in hot conditions and chase rabbits all day. I much rather stay in TreeClan if we didn't have IceClan. It's too exposed on the grass lands."

Pinekit's eyes widened, and he had to keep himself from snarling. "I didn't know Emberstorm used to be in Fireclan.." He mumbled, mostly to himself. He quickly moved on, hoping to stay clear of sticking on such a sore subject. "But ya, I don't get it either. I mean, at least with Rockclan and Treeclan they don't just have rabbits. I mean, I can't imagine just eating rabbits most of the time." He said in disgust.

Tanglepelt nodded. Most cats knew the tom was the former FireClanner. And, they've accepted that, except for the case of Maplefrost.
"Indeed. FireClanners are strange cats, if you ask me."

Iceblaze padded in. Her whiet fur was not uncommon here in the mountains. Noticing the other cats, she gave a brief
"Hello."
Wait. One of them was an apprentice. What could this be?

It was the night before Friday, and all was quiet throughout the den. Only two little fur balls scurried, creating a cost. Their meeting so private, and unintruded for so long, it was only a time before somebody came on along. Tiny Iceblaze entered the den, chipper and cheer, saying "Hello" with a flick of her ears. Little did she know, oh my, that this thread had been private, for Tanglepelt and I! The thread, all but abandoned before, now forced to revive, was being joked on by Waspwing oh my!
So here we are now, cringing in horror, as Waspwing tries to go even farther. His rhymes have all gone horribly, and this post just becoming boringly. With a woosh and a boop, a lock was brought on, to the thread meant for two, that was ruined by one.
(AKA, this thread was dying, and it was private. Please respect our wishes. -lock-)
