Ok, does there have to be a naming ceremony before I can go into the apprentices den? How do i get a mentor?

Depends on your Clan.
If you're in Iceclan, go ahead and change your name to Frostpaw and ask a warrior to be your mentor. If you're in Fireclan, Treeclan or Rockclan, then you have to request a ceremony. There are specific threads in all three of those Clans for doing so. Until you get your ceremony (usually by a leader, but other staff members may do them) then you can change your name to Frostpaw and RP as an apprentice. If you're in Fire, Tree or Rockclan, then your mentor will be chosen for you by whoever is doing the ceremony.
