@drought
The dark tabby padded from the dens over to where Drought was located or at least where his den was. The apprentice ages tom cleared his throat. "Drought?" He moewed respectfully

When Drought wasn't sleeping, he had a tendency to rest in the branches of his tree. It just so happened that the leader was perched among the lower boughs on that particular day. He blinked his amber eyes in mild surprise when he detected the scent of another feline, and silently observed the peasant's approach until he spoke.
"Hello," the scarred tom meowed, gazing down at his visitor. "I trust that there's a reason for this visit?"

He looked slightly nervous from his usual calm and detached manner. "To be honest...since I was new here and all. I guess I just wanted to see the infamous leader of Deathclan." He looked at the older tom. "To see who I'm under rule of so to speak."

"Infamous, hmm? That's one way to put it, but I'd say that the difference between famous and infamous would depend on your viewpoint," the spotted tom rumbled. "In either case, here I am. Now who might you be?" Despite the fact that Drought made an effort to get to know the peasants of the pseudo-Clan, it was simply impossible to become acquainted with all of them.

The leader nodded slightly. Rebellion's name was unfamiliar, but then again, he was young. It would be surprising if Drought had heard news of him at this age.
"You don't look as young as most of the cats who seek refuge here. Might I ask where you come from? It was fairly common for new DeathClanners to have come from the rogue or loner lands, but the occasional kittypet or Clan exile also joined.

Not to much to tell. I used to be a rogue. Plain and simple. Entire life I've lived as a rogue." He replied

"Sometimes an unexciting start can be better than a turbulent one," the older feline remarked. "I suppose I was a lot like you when I was a youngling. Born a rogue, never knew my father for moons, and my mother wasn't awfully attached to me. She cast me out on my own while I was still a kitten. I came to DeathClan as soon as I was old enough, and didn't look back." There was more to it than that, but Drought didn't make a habit of talking about what had happened with his sister, Deluge.

He nodded silently. "Im not sure who had it worse. My mother died in kitting while my dad died in a flood when I was little. Been on my own ever since. I guess after living a hard life it gets lonely after awhile and you lose purpose to carry on because you have nothing to so with your life asides the usual survival." He commented

The black-and-white feline twitched his tail slightly in agreement. "Indeed. No point in leading a monotonous life if it can be avoided, though... and DeathClan is far from monotonous. Three leaders have gone by ever since I came here, all those moons ago."

So you've been in Deathclan awhile huh?" He said thoughtfully. "Hmm I was wondering. What exactly are the Elites you have? I attended the meeting when my friend Galaxy was made an Elite. So what are they exactly?" He asked

"I've been here for countless moons," Drought responded. He stood up on the branch before leaping to the ground with a slight thump. "Elites are the cats who I choose to carry out special tasks. At the start of my mission to invade the Clans, I had sent Badger to spy on RockClan. Although I am personally leading the battles, that's also something that I would trust them to do." The leader frowned slightly at the mention of the ex-Elite. "Galaxy is no longer an Elite because he's a fool who deems it acceptable to lie down and share tongues with an enemy during battle," he added with a hint of a snarl.

He frowned. "But the meeting you said Holly was replaced by Galaxy for that reason not the other way around."

"Galaxy has been deemed unworthy of the position of Elite. He was stripped of his rank several days ago. Holly shall take his place." Drought narrowed his amber eyes at Rebellion. "I'm quite aware of what I really said, youngling. Holly was not an Elite until he took Galaxy's place. Selective hearing, perhaps?"
The leader turned to sharpen his claws on one of the roots of his tree. With all of the fighting recently, they had grown somewhat blunt.

He stiffened. "Forgive me Drought. I must have misread it before." He replied. "Good day." He rose and turned to leave.
