Ignis hesitated for a moment, before scooting out of there with a squeak. She was so out of character today, as Ignis wasn't normally uncomfortable nor shy. She just had to get out.
And that was the last that they had seen of her.

"I see. So, it really hasn't much to do with how they react in the water then? I could have guessed about the damage, but how do you tell rotting ones apart?"
She was genuinely curious on the matter, easily told by the brightness in her eyes. This was amplified so much that she hardly gave more than a twitch of the ear to the other she-cat leaving. Trying to make the work go more quickly for the still awkward tom, she gently pawed a green berry from the surface of the water.
"So, that one goes, yes?"

And then came Tea, coming in like a windstorm in a desert. "Hello! My, my, am I late for the party or no? Tea of the Fall, nice to meet'cha whether you like me or not!" U big grin was set upon my face as the cat sat before me. I nodded my head and cocked it to the side. "If you're teaching an herb lesson, may I join in? I've had a long time of experience, but you learn somethin' new everyday!"

The sound of pattering paws alerted Vermeil to the fact that Ignis had escaped. He was envious of the young female. I should have waited to clean the berries. Of course Eleanor would take that as an invitation to watch... agh, should've known better.
"The unripe ones will float, but the others should sink," he meowed quietly. "If they're rotten, they'll feel mushy. Good juniper berries are a little firmer on the surface."
He visibly cringed when a loud voice assaulted his eardrums. Wonderful, another Shaman to deal with. Glancing at Tea of the Fall, Ver gave a pained smile. "I was just finishing up here, but I'll hand these juniper berries off to you shortly."

Eleanor nodded at his statement, and then felt a pang of sympathy for the tom as another shaman entered the room. He seemed even more uncomfortable now. Perhaps it was time to retreat.
"This is all very interesting, Vermeil. Thank you," she began, a friendly expression on her face, "I did just remember, though, that I haven't any clue how the store of herbs for the summer shamans is looking. I had better go and see so that I may send out a spring shaman, just in case."
With that, she jumped off of the counter and walked in the direction of the store room, leaving the two be.
