Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO This mission that Drought had dropped on Mumble seemed easy enough, but first of all he had to talk to one of the cats on his list. First up was Galaxy. So Mumble had put out word for them to meet at the river. Mumble felt like it might be good to bond over fishing or something. It would be easier to get on his target's good side rather than fight them and just spy on them.
Mumble sauntered to the riverside. He sat there for a second before he dipped his paw into the cool water. He held his paw there with his claws unsheathed until eventually the fish started to take his paw as a part of the river, so they just moved calmly around it. When a medium sized fish slowly floated past his paw he moved so fast that it was on the bank faster than it knew what had happened. He smirked and let it flop around, making sure it didn't fall back in the water as he looked for another one that would be for Galaxy as a sort of peace offering.

(Woo victim just appears in front of the stalker begging to be spied on >.<) A tail tip twitched in the bushes near the river, and a pair of cold blue eyes peered out, bitter and emotionless. Beneath Galaxy's feet lay a plump robin, freshly killed, its neck at an awkward angle. Even though there were a crowd of fish gathering in the water, the tom preferred to hunt on land, after his previous failure. The roar of the water covered most of his tracks, and it seemed that Mumble didn't even notice him. Bending down, he grasped the limp robin in his jaws and shouldered his way out of the bushes. He stopped next to Mumble, setting down his catch, "Well, why did you bring me here?" he inquired suspiciously.
The black tom was small, but Galaxy sensed some sort of dignity that wasn't found in most of the younglings he met. I'll have to be careful around him. Peering down, Galaxy noticed a medium-sized fish next to Mumble flopping around in painful spasms. Looks like he caught something too.

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO When Galaxy appeared Mumble tried to get a good feel for him. The robin that was at his feet made Mumble pull him paw out of the water. Apparently he didn't need a fish. The smaller cat gave a small nod to the older cat. "Thanks for coming. I was learning about the cats of this clan and I thought that you might be somebody good to meet." Mumble watched the older cat for a reaction. If it was a bad reaction then Mumble would have to change his approach a little, but if it was good then he could continue on the way he was going

(I read your meeting with Drought. It gave me an idea >D) Galaxy sat down, his tail twitching to an unknown beat. "Your welcome." he sniffed, not pleased with the youngling's explanation. He pawed the pile of feathers closer to him, obviously not encouraging the idea of sharing prey. It was strange, to pick him out of all the Deathclanners around the place. Galaxy always felt that he wasn't the wicked cat that everybody described him as, but he wasn't exactly the nicest and most tolerant. He was, in fact, far from it.
Galaxy glanced at Mumble. The black youngling seemed to be watching him intently, as if studying him. Probably waiting for what he had to say, Galaxy guessed. "If you want to know the territory, I recommend exploring Deathclan's grounds. Same with the cats around here. It better to know them personally."
| Hola, Drought here. Just want to remind you that you can't use OOC knowledge to gain an edge for Galaxy, if that's what you were planning. Even though you've read that thread, Galaxy wasn't there, so he doesn't know about it~ |

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO Galaxy's expression clearly showed that he wasn't very happy with Mumble's approach. That was a bummer, the nice way hadn't worked as much as he had wanted. Then Galaxy continued talking. "I'll take that into consideration. I suppose that actually meeting the cats instead of hearing about them would be better, get a feel for them instead of letting others taint your perception." Mumble actually liked the advice. He then thought of something else that might help him get a feel for Galaxy. "So how am I doing here? Do you regret coming here or are you still decided or do you just hate me already?" Mumble chuckled and smirked a little as he took a bite of the fish and waited for the older tom's response. ❤ |

Galaxy watched as Mumble smirked a little, taking a bite out of his fish, which had stopped flopping. He bent down and nibbled the robin's belly, not seeing any reason to wait any longer before eating. "Your question was a little unclear." He meowed, after chewing the meat thoroughly and swallowing. "You mean that I regret coming to Deathclan, or do you mean that I regret coming here, to meet you?" It made sense either way.
The older tom didn't wait for the black youngling to answer his question, moving on. "Do I hate you? Well, that depends. I'd better not say." He grinned at this, ripping the wing off the robin and casting it aside. It was hard to say, whether he would want to youngling as an ally or not. He seemed to know what he was doing, talking to him. He was on the neutral side for now, until Galaxy made his decision. But Galaxy wouldn't want to tell that to Mumble. Who knows what he might do then.

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO "Better not say? Huh I can't be doing to bad otherwise you would just say you hate me, or so I assume. I would anyways." Mumble chuckled a little. He would try to keep up the laid back attitude. He couldn't help if he got mad, but getting mad didn't help him so he'd keep it on the down low. Right now there was no reason to get angry. Galaxy seemed alright, not too mean, but not so overly nice that it was annoying. Mumble took another bite out of the now dead fish. ❤ |

Galaxy twitched an ear, deciding not to say anything. The conversation had strayed from the original topic, and Galaxy had a suspicious though that the intention of inviting him to meet Mumble was, in fact, not actually to let him explain Deathclan's ways. "Tell me." He meowed, "What's the real intention of bringing me here?" He put a paw on his robin, refusing to eat until Mumble responded.

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO It seemed as if Galaxy was on the suspicious side, which Mumble had thought would happen soon, so he thought fast. "You can't believe that I just wanted to meet you? Well I suppose I would be suspicious too." Mumble shrugged a little. "I asked to meet with you because you seem to have some power in this pseudo clan of ours and anybody who has power is somebody I need on my good side, so I'm hoping I'm making a good impression so far." That was very believable. He used to be an elite after all, other cats must respect him to some degree. If Mumble wasn't being sent to spy on him then it would be the most logical option to become allies with Galaxy. ❤ |

(Are you from Australia? Because there is no way that you could have written this at one in the morning)
Galaxy regarded Mumble with interest. "I suppose your right." he meowed, a little pleased that someone, for once, had recognized him not as the snooty little youngling that others exaggerated about him, but rather a dutiful Elite that didn't deserve to be kicked off his position. All because of that little fight with the spoiled Treeclan kit. He signed inwardly at the thought of it. Galaxy didn't have much power over Deathclan. He was rather for of an outlaw, someone that others despised and would never follow orders of. To make things short, it meant that he didn't have a great reputation among cats.
But Galaxy didn't want the odd-eyed tom to know that. He was starting to like the youngling, even after he saw him fall down a tree. "Go on."

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO Mumble flicked an ear. It was almost as if Galaxy liked hearing other people praise him. Mumble couldn't blame him though, who didn't like other people telling them how great they were? "Well I heard you used to be an elite. Somebody like that must have some power and wits. Even if you aren't anymore cats know to be worried around you." Mumble meowed. He wondered if it was a sensitive topic for the older tom. Hopefully not otherwise there might be a bad reaction to what he had just said. [ notes ] i'm not from australia, im from Canada, although I didn't write it at 1 i wrote it at 2 ❤ |

(I went to Edmonton in Alberta once. They had great water parks and their malls had roller coasters in them XD)
Galaxy nodded at Mumble. But he had a nagging feeling, something that wasn't quite right with the youngling tom. "Well, I might add that after I was thrown off my Elite position," at this he growled angrily, "I supposed many cats have been saying thing behind my back. being turned back into a pheasant isn't exactly honorable, whereas they were pheasants their whole lives and they laugh at me, a cat whose had a chance to be one of the Elites." His icy blue eyes reverted back to Mumble, hopefully warning him not to try anything. "But yes, I guess I do have some potential compared to others. But why do you want me on your side. Are you planning anything?" He lowered his head so that his eyes met the odd-eyed black tom's evenly. "Tell me about it. I rather assume that your not planning any funny business with me." He flexed his claws, glinting in the daylight. "Or I will track you down. That's a promise."
(Sorry for the long wait, but I was feeling nice and happy the other day and I wasn't fit to write as Galaxy. Today. my sister's bothered me enough -.-)

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO Mumble chuckled a little. Well now he had to come up with a scheme, and a believable one at that. "I don't doubt that you would." Mumble shifted his position a little, buying time and trying to make himself more comfortable. "Well I was thinking about messing things up in Deathclan a bit. New leader, new elites, new royals, maybe a new system altogether. The way things are being run now isn't suited to me." Mumble flicked an ear as if it wasn't really anything big, although if anybody tried to go through what he was "planning" then Drought would be in trouble if he didn't have enough loyal followers. Perhaps Mumble could weed out a few of them. That would be a good treat for the higher ups. [ notes ] the parks are great ❤ |

Galaxy watched intently. This conversation was really getting interesting. He didn't despise the system the way it was right now. In fact, Galaxy favored the positions and system. He only hated the cats who were in those positions. "Isn't suited? Well, what do you think it should be like, eh?" Galaxy bit into his robin, noticing that Mumble was neglecting his fish. He must be somewhat uncomfortable. No wonder, considering how much Galaxy was pushing the youngling. He was going to push the tom until he broke. And then the silver-gray tom would get into the bottom of this younglin'g's scheme, a plan for change. Might not be useful, but who knows what Mumble might be thinking.

Walk like you own the place because you just might Talk like you want a fight BECAUSE YOU REALLY DO For a second Mumble had to think. "A new leader for sure. Drought just doesn't make the right decisions." That was a lie in his opinion. "Just new higher ups. They system isn't half bad, but I was saying we could change it if we want." Mumble shrugged a little. He finally took a bite of the already half eaten fish. He wondered if that would gain Galaxy's trust, or if he would go running off to Drought with some "big information" on a cat that was trying to overthrow him. Oh what a surprise it would be if he found out it was all a lie. He shouldn't for a while if all this worked out the way Mumble hoped. ❤ |
