Shiverkit had visibly grown. He was twice as tall as he used to be. Shiverkit sneaked into the warrior den, looking for Petalfur.
"Petalfur!" he whispered loudly.

Moaning I got up and hissed at my brother "Shiverkit! What do you think you are doing?" I lashed my tail.

Shiverkit jumped. His sister was there! "Oh, h-h-hi, Ice.." he stammered, embarrassed.

I snorted and jumped out of the den. Looking at my brother with annoyance and care I lick his head. "Do you need anything?" I asked softly

"I wanna grow up," Shiverkit whispered, then shivered. "A-are you gonna tell on me?" he asked, worriedly.

The ill tempered she-cat peered over her nest with her narrow icy eyes,
"Can't any cat get a wink of sleep around here? If your looking for Petalfur I'll have you know she doesn't want to be bothered! Now scamper back to the nursery."
Laying back down Icywind felt an unease, she had just yowled at a kit.
"I'm sorry honey, but we've all had a long day."

Shiverkit bowed his head in shame. Now he was really sorry he was born. He'd left his sister for so many moons, and then he made a warrior mad. Maybe he should just curl up in a corner and die. " I- I- I'm sorry," he stuttered.

Seeing the small kit was utterly miserable she tried to comfort him,
"No you don't need to apologize I was being too tough on you. Here I'll bring you back to the nursery."
The dark warrior stretched a while before padded next to the small kit.

I stepped in front of Icywind "I would like a moment alone with my brother." I mewed calmly but stern. I put my tail on his shoulders.

after a moment she tryed to shut the noice out but finaly gave up she got up and shook her pelt she then looked at the entrance to see two of her friends and a kit. she paddedout to meet them. she then could sence the tection between icetalon and IcyWind. she walked out and meowed " good morning" as she stiffled a yon. she then looked at the kit with gentle eyes and asked with a sweet tone " what is your name little one?" she sat down calmly and quickly groomed her silvery fur. she then out her tail on icywinds shoulders and murmered " come on, lets leave them to it" she said sweetly and nudged her friend to join her at the fresh kill pile. and she turned her head and added " when you two have finished I would like it if you would join us" she gestured to them with her tail to meet by the fresh kill and she slowly walked of hoping her dark colored friend would follow.

Shiverkit's eyes were wide, his mouth clamped shut and muffled whimpers escaping from his throat. "I-I shouldn't have came," he whispered.
