"Sticks!" Snorted Jade, running over to a pile of fallen sticks, "We could do something with these!" jumping under the pile, Jade saw Scratch looking at her. Unless you only see the sticks! Thought Jade. |

Smiling, Scratch followed Jade and stepped into the pile of sticks. She cut her back paw-pad on a stick when she was walking in, but made sure Jade didn't notice. owe! she thought. She then looked at the calico persian and smiled, "what could we do with them?"

Black fur darted out from amongst the brush . His eyes scanned the clearing and widened as he saw two younger looking cats , whom he did not recognize , messing around with sticks and what not . Rushing over to them Survivor beckoned for them to not speak and to lay low . Doing as they were told he quickly crouched low and stalked forward barely hidden behind a bush . His icy blue eyes glared forward as he spotted the medium sized fox making its way around . Survivor unsheathed his massive claws ready for battle but stopped seeing the creature turn around and bound off disappearing . Letting out a heavy sigh of relief he turned to the other two cats and glared at them angrily .
" You both should be more careful . " His tone was harsh but gentle at the same time

Jade squeaked "Ok!" Turning around, she saw a new cat, tilting her head, she saw a cat she didn't know. As a kit, Jade felt like shaking her head would make the cat go away, he didn't. Jade looked back at Scratch, "we could build a small place. One of us could fit in it!" Turning back to the black tom, she added, "This cat could help! What's your name? I'm Jade and this is Scratch,"

Scratch looked at the unusual cat and meowed "Ok..." her eyes were then drawn back towards Jade, "that sounds fun!". She then limped towards a stick and picked it up.

Jade picked up a stick. Her grip was firm but the stick weighted more than she could hold on. Seeing Scratch busy, she turned towards the black tom. "Help!" she called.

Survivors eyes widened as the females spoke . Were they not aware that a fox had almost seen them ? His eyes narrowed and ignoring their little games he spoke in a harsh yet cool tone , '' Are you both not aware that a fox literally just passed by ? If it wasn't for me scaring it off you two would have been tore to shreds by now ! '' His blue eyes burned into them both . Anger began to rise inside of him but he pushed it away thinking . They're both young cats , younger than him , they musn't be as concerned of their safety as he was .
Turning his attention to the older looking female (Scratch) he narrowed his eyes and snapped , '' You should be more alert from now on . Lots of foxes have been sneaking around to close to camp lately . '' He let out a sigh and sat down curling his tail around his paws . He sat perfectly straight and tall and simply waited for a response .

Jade scraped at the stick and jumped to her paws and narrowed her eyes. "What fox?" jumping forward, Jade looked both ways, then at Scratch, "Can you both teach me how to defend our tribe." her eyes looked pleadingly at the new cat. Jade jumped in the air and swiped, lading gracefully, she turned around and swiped. Jade looked at the black tom, "Was that good?" she asked

Looking at the young bundle of fur leap forward made a sly grin spread across Survivors face . He signed and released some tension from his haunches . His blue eyes narrowed as he crouched low and whispered " Look out behind you .." as the female Jade turned around Survivor scurried forward and pinned her down to the ground . He let out a loud hearty chuckle and meowed " Rule number one , never let your guard down . Always make sure to stay focused on your opponent . "
