Otterfuzz looked at Cherryspark and smiled. "Nice catch, Cherry." He hadn't caught anything in a little bit but he knew a good hunt when he sees it.

Cherryspark placed the bird on some leaves. "Thanks" she said. "Leaf-fall is just around the corner" she remarked

Otterfuzz chuckled with amusement. "Most definitely you are, Cherryspark." He wondered why she had such a white pelt. Did snow stick to her when she was a kit? He didn't know.

(Wow, I heard snow has fallen up north in the USA. Wyoming I think. Hopefully this will not be a colder winter than last year.)
"Hopefully this leaf-bare will be warm enough for the nursery to be doing well with the kits and the queens." Otterfuzz hoped prey would be plentiful too.
