Where oh Where to sleep? (Open)

Skypaw was excited to have been finally named an apprentice and didn't think he was going to become one so soon after the previous ceremony but as he took it all in he realized he no longer could sleep in the nursery with the rest of his litter mates and now had to move into the Apprentice's Den.



Yawning he peaked in and looked around at all the apprentices, especially those who just became one almost as recently as he and Skypaw thought about how good Fireclan must be doing with this many apprentices training to be warriors. The thought passed and he found a nice little corner and prepared his nest there knowing it would be some time before he would need to move again when he'd eventually become a warrior.

It makes a few moons since Rainpaw became an apprentice,her mentor,Dapplefire,was busy,she didn't have a lot of time to train her,but Rainpaw understand that its hard to be a warrior.She woke up with a big yawn,opening slowly her bright blue eyes.She looked to her left and saw a new apprentice Well,I should say hi! And with a quick tail flick,she turned around to greet the tom."Hello!Welcome to the apprentice's den!What's your name?" The calico she cat of the blue eyes asked with a friendly voice,hoping that she didn't look mean

Skypaw was just waking up preparing for the inevitable call by his mentor to have him come for his very first training, he looked over seeing the calico greet him, he is not one to be rude so he responded cordially "Thank you, my name is Skypaw, want to have a mouse or something and share tongues before my mentor calls me to train?"

The calico she cat of the blue eyes gave a small smile "Sure!That would be great!By the way my name is Rainpaw" she said calmly to the tom.She wondered who was his mentor,her was Dapplefire.Once,she was one of the youngest apprentice's of this den,but now that Heatherwind and Silverwhisker became warriors,she probably was one of the oldest apprentices of this den.Skypaw looked to be the friendly type of cat

Skypaw could tell this cat was quite old for an apprentice, he thought this might be a good chance to hear about all the stuff apprentices get to do.

"What all do you do as an apprentice? what is your favorite thing about being an apprentice"

He hops he is not rattling off questions too fast as he is a curious cat and tends to be quite inquisitive.

"Oh hello there." Tawnypaw dipped her head at the two unfamiliar faces. She had entered the Apprentices den for one reason only and that had been for a quick nap in between training sessions but she felt that it would be rude if she padded past them without saying anything, especially when on of them appeared to be a new addition to the den. "My names Tawnypaw, I don't believe we've met before." She smiled at the calico with blue eyes, surprised that she had never run into her before considering the she-cat was older than her and was built like a warrior which Tawnypaw had no doubt the apprentice would be one soon.

Skypaw nodded cordially "This is Rainpaw" motioning at the Calcio "my name is Skypaw, nice to meet you Tawnypaw" he examines the apprentice and continued "Who is your mentor? mine is Otterfuzz, how about you?"

"Hello Rainpaw, Skypaw. Welcome to the apprentices den. I hope I didn't intrude on your conversation, I apologize if I have." Tawnypaw waved her tail apologetically. "I know Otterfuzz well, we have been friends since we were kits. I bet he's an exceptional mentor, do you agree?" She asked hoping she was making a welcoming, friendly impression on the newcomer.

Skypaw shrugs "I wouldn't know, today is my first day as an apprentice and I have not gone out with him yet, but I expect he will be calling me soon for my first day of training"

Skypaw continues "I don't mind at all, I was just introducing us to this apprentice"

"Ah." She mewed and nodded her head in understanding. "I'm sure you'll find Otterfuzz to be a likable and patient mentor. My mentor is Ivyleaf, have you heard of her?" She asked. Now that she knew her presence was welcomed but the young cat, she sat and wrapped her long tail over her paws neatly.

Sat down and took a bite into the mouse "I have not, how is she as a mentor? what sorts of things has she taught you so far?" he hoped he wasn't asking too much questions but he was curious.

Tawnypaw picked a small bird from off the top of the fresh-kill pile, and sat down across from the tabby tom before giving him a reply, "Ummm well...she's alright. Ivyleaf is still pretty young herself, she hasn't been a warrior for too long and I think mentoring three apprentices right after bumping up in rank is proving to be a bit of a challenge for her. Being completely honest, at first I would get irritated with her lack of well...teaching skills...but know I just to listen to what she tells me and stay patient with the ways she teaches us things." Tawnypaw shrugged her shoulders and bent her head to take a bite of her vole.

Rainpaw became really happy to know that Tawnypaw was a wise apprentice,triying understand her mentor.Rainpaw said with a friendly voice "Nice to meet you Tawnypaw!" She purred "Oh,my mentor is Dapplefire,she is a good mentor,but she is a little busy sometimes,but she always is doing her best when it talks about teaching!" The she cat said with a small smile

"Dapplefire sounds like an amazing mentor, Rainpaw." Tawnypaw dipped her head down to take another bite of the vole, savoring the warm taste that washed over her tongue and down her throat, heating her belly comfortably. "You wont need to worry about finding time to train with your mentor for much longer, seems like your only a whiskers length away from becoming a warrior." Tawnypaw pointed out, giving the bubbly calico a kind smile.

Skypaw nods "Tawnypaw you appear as well as you are not to far from being a warrior yourself, you must only be a few moons away now"

Skypaw reflects on both their comments "I know my mentor has been a warrior for some time so I bet he will be pretty well experienced with hunting and fighting and be a wise teacher, he does have another Apprentice besides me which is Ghostpaw."
