[Sandstep]

Stormfrost

Sandstep hadn't spoken to her former mentor in what had seemed like years but really it was only moons. "Stormfrost? How's it going there?" She asked with a flick of her ears.

[Stormfrost]

Stormfrost looked up from his nest and spotted his former apprentice, Sandstep. "Well, Sandstep. It's going rather well." He sat up in his nest as he looked at her.

[Sandstep]

She gave a faint smile, glad to hear it. Sandstep hadn't told him about her first apprentice yet and wondered if he had more. "I have gotten my first apprentice, Mossypaw. But I don't know where he went..." It was true.... he was gone or at least away from where she knew.

[Stormfrost]

Stormfrost realized that he was getting to the point where he was having a lot of apprentices. At least if you add them all up. Six. "They do that some times but just remember that this time of year cats tend to drift from training and being seen around the clan."

[Sandstep]

She shook her pale fur covered head and asked, "Anyway how are your apprentices? Have any more?" He always had apprentices for some reason. Darkstar must have thought he could handle it.

[Stormfrost]

Stormfrost said, ”Of course I have more apprentices. Right now I have two because the other four are actually warriors already. Icepaw and Flarepaw are my current apprentices though. Hopefully they will finish their training soon… But like your Mossypaw my Icepaw isn’t anywhere near here for some reason…” He couldn't tell why.

[Sandstep]

She looked at him in surprise and said ”Well maybe he or she, whichever the gender, will come back someday.” Perhaps they wouldn’t?

[Stormfrost]

Stormfrost said, "It's a she. But yes maybe someday she will come back. Though I doubt she will come back soon." He didn't think apprentices would normally do that but hey, they did. So did warriors and others around the clan.

[Sandstep]

Sandstep took notice of how they were still in the den. "Hey, do you want to get out of the den? It might be good for you." She offered and waited for his response.

[Stormfrost]

Stormfrost gave a nod. "Sure if you want. To the clearing or to the territory, Sandstep?" He asked her as he stood up and shook the moss off of his pelt.

[Sandstep]

SANDSTEP

She thought for a moment. "Maybe we could head out to the territory for a bit. Let's get going." And with that she turned away and bolted out of the den and galloped to the territory, hoping her mentor would be able to keep up with her.

Stormfrost blinked in surprise as Sandstep bolted out of the den. Quickly he followed and tried to keep up but he wasn't the fastest of cats yet instead one of the stronger ones. As he made it to the territory he stopped a few fox lengths away from where the entrance was. "Sandstep? I'm not that fast..."

[Sandstep]

SANDSTEP

She flicked her ears backward as she caught the voice of her mentor then looked back at him. He wasn't right behind her. Oh... "Sorry there, Stormfrost." She enjoyed running. "You okay? We can rest for a moment if needed."

Stormfrost snorted. "I don't think that would be necessary. Let's keep going." He gave a little whisper to himself, "I'm not huffing and puffing that bad..."

[Sandstep]

SANDSTEP

Sandstep didn't mean to embarrass him or anything so she simply nodded in response and kept walking further out into the territory. "Is this your first leaf fall too?" She asked him.
