Meltingpaw padded in with her jaws full of moss and a small mouse. She dropped her burden on the floor and started to clean out the obviously dirty moss. She looked around in search of kits she knew before she finished her way too short period as a kit.

    Longkit was bored, pawing at a small patch of his moss until he looked up, "Meltingki- oh, I mean Meltingpaw! Why are you in here, you're an apprentice now!" The tom got up and walked over to his past friend, tilting his head, then saw the moss and guessed she was cleaning.

[Meltingstone]

Meltingpaw looked down on Longkit. "Hi Longkit! I'm cleaning," she mewed. "You're getting big, " she remarked, " you're going to be made an apprentice soon."

    "I know! I'm almost six moons old! It's been so long, who's your mentor?" he asked, looking up. He wondered if she'd clean his nest, it hasn't been comfortable for him for a while.

[Meltingstone]

Meltingpaw purred at the idea of Longkit in the den with her. "Fei'lan," she mewed. "And I can tell you'd make a great apprentice."

    "That is an odd name? But is Fei'lan a good mentor?" he asked. "Who would be a good mentor to me?"

[Meltingstone]

Meltingpaw could agree that her mentor had a odd name. "Y-yes, he is a good mentor. I'm not sure who'd be a good mentor for you." She thought about how Shiverpaw was about to be a warrior soon. Maybe he'd be a good mentor for Meltingpaw's friend. She couldn't be wrong to trust him, but she wasn't sure.

    "Well, okay. I hope I get a good one!" he said, smiling. "What have you done so far?"

Meltingpaw blinked. "Not very much," she finally replied.
