it is not a sin to fight for the right cause A flash of white fur slunk from the shadows of the apprentices' den. It was quite early in the morning-- the moon was still up, casting a long shadow past Spiritpaw's body. And what was he doing out of his nest at such an early hour? Midnight snacking, of course.
Looking both ways to try and be as unseen as he possibly could, the mischievous young tom made a b-line for the fresh-kill pile. His ears flattened as he arrived at the sight. Because of the achingly cold weather, not only was land prey scarce as ever, but fish was harder to collect as well. All that remained after last night was a soggy and nearly frozen trout, as well as a carp in the same condition. He sighed.
Glowering at the pitiful two fish-cicles, Spiritpaw turned away from the 'pile' and sat down a few tail-lengths away, seemingly lost his appetite. |

blooo <3 its fyee
Spiritpaw wasn't the only hungry one. Orchidpaw, the recently appointed apprentice, had begun to eat quite a lot. She was a growing girl and she obviously needed her food. The tall female ducked under the entrance, heading towards the dwindling prey pile.
It wasn't hard to notice the stark white tom under the moonlight, even if it was dark, and he was clearly apprentice. Maybe it'll be good if I make some new friends, she concluded as she headed towards the white male and the fresh-kill pile.
The pickings were awfully thin. Two fish, both frozen. With a sigh she turned towards spiritpaw, her stomach caving in ever more by the second. "Hey. You wanna help me defrost these suckers?" | where is my love? |

Naturepaw was awoken by the call of a she-cat. Her deep brown eyes blinked open and she simply looked around at the source of the sound. She sighed. I should be annoyed, but I guess I really wasn't that asleep anyway, she thought. Still, Nature wanted to know who else was up at such an early hour. At least two, assuming that the she-cat wasn't talking in her sleep or anything, she assumed. Naturepaw got up from her nest sitting on the edge of the pine forest and padded over towards a white tom and the she-cat. However, not knowing if she'd be interrupting or not, Naturepaw decided that she'd remain unseen for the moment. If it was alright to come out, she'd go and talk. But for now, she'd stay hidden by the darkness and her brown tabby fur that was only a few shades lighter than her eyes. She knew her pelt wasn't much cover, so she felt it wise to sit in the shadows. Now, Nature didn't want to seem like a stalker or anything; she was just the kind of cat that hated being interrupted. Therefore, she tried not to interrupt others. Nature sat quietly and waited patiently, realizing she had never seen either of these apprentices before. Either they're new, or I need to be a little more social.
