Palepaw entered the apprentice den yawning. "I'm so tired after walking around all day! Now I just need to-" She stopped, a familiar scent wafting toward her. Hey, it's Lilykit! Lilypaw now? Maybe that's coming from her nest. The patched feline walked to where the scent was coming from. "Flower? You in here?"

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw layed in her nest, a bit bored, when she heard a familiar voice. It was Palepaw, calling for her! 'Flower?' She thought. 'I'll get him for that!' Lilypaw crouched, then lunged at Palepaw, attempting to tackle him and then wanted to pin him to the ground.

Palepaw giggled, looking around for an answer. She was caught off guard as Lilypaw lunged at her. "Ack!" She was pushed to the ground by the younger apprentice, and tried to thrash her way out of Lilypaw's grasp. "That's not fair! I wasn't ready!" Palepaw whined, trying to roll around. "C'mon Flower! I thought we were buddies!"

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw let out a purr, jumping off of Palepaw. "Maybe that'll teach you not to call me flower!" She purred, amused. "Well, it goes to show which one of the two of us is the strongest apprentice! I'll be an even better warrior." She purred.

"But it's your name, Flower!" Palepaw chirped back in reply, tensing for an attack. Why doesn't she like being called flower? The she-cat rolled her eyes. "Yeah right. A halfclanner like you won't ever be a great warrior! AHAHAHAHA!" She cackled towards the end, indicating she was joking. Palepaw didn't mention that she herself wasn't even part IceClan. "So Flower, watcha wanna do?"

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw flinched when she was insulted of being half clan. "Don't you dare say that!" Lilypaw hissed. She hated being judged for being half clan. It wasn't her fault, after all, and she devoted her life to IceClan even though both of her parents were now it FireClan.

Palepaw flicked an ear at Lilypaw's hiss, and frowned. "I was just joking." She said quietly, and backed up. Can she not take a joke? She stood a few mouse-lengths away, and stared at the gray she-cat. "Are you okay?"

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw narrowed her eyes. "That isn't anything to joke about... It isn't a funny subject, okay? It's very serious and that is offensive to me."

Palepaw sighed. "Okay, then I'm sorry. I don't have any IceClan blood if it makes you feel better." She knew it probably didn't. "I won't joke about it again." For now. She thought to herself, and almost snickered.

[Lilypaw]

"Good." Lilypaw mewed. "You can make it up to me by taking me out on a walk through the territory." She offered.

"Alright!" Palepaw chirped, leading the way out of the den with a flick of her tail. As she reached the exit she glanced back. "Want to go follow the stream and see where it takes us?"

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw smiled and padded after Palepaw. "Sure." She replied. "That sounds fun. You can lead the way, I'll follow."

Palepaw nodded once, smiling in return and trotted out. She padded around small trees and bushes, trying to remember where the stream was. Rabbitleap led me through here, right? She swerved past a few more sparse bushes and smiled proudly as the stream came into view. "Let's see where upstream leads." She ran forward to the water, and stuck a paw in. She quickly shot it right back out. "Don't do what I just did. The stream is freezing!" She licked her paw frantically. Ouch!

[Lilypaw]

Lilypaw trotted after her friend until they came to the river and she put her paw into the water. Lilypaw let out a purr of amusement at Palepaw doing that. "Now you really do have a pale paw!" She teased.

Palepaw giggled at the joke. "That's the best pun I've ever heard." She kept licking her paw, trying to get it to the regular color. Finishing, she held her paw up. "Not so pale now! See?" She giggled again, and began trotting upriver. "Maybe we'll run into a badger! It wouldn't stand a chance against us!"
