Willowlight swallowed a yawn as he padded into the warrior's den, tired from the night's vigil. Though, despite his sleepy state, he didn't want to enter the land of dreams just yet. With nimble paws he weaved amongst the sparse remaining warriors of the den, his expert nose searching for a familiar scent. Eventually he found it, and headed over to the empty nest. The moss was dry and unused, and still smelt of her. Sageleaf. With dull eyes he curled up in the nest next to his former mentor's, letting his tail rest on moss that still carried her familiar scent. The orange she-cat had guided through his kit and apprentice years, and he had always though she would be there for him. Yet, here he was, alone. He had barley had time to grieve before his warrior ceremony, and now that the excitement from the while ordeal was over the pain of having lost his closet friend hit him like a boulder.
Letting his delicate frame shake with silent sobs, he reached his head over and buried his muzzle in the only thing he had left -other than his memorize- that he could remember his best friend by.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody had entered the warriors' den after a long hunt that night, his jaws stretching wide with a yawn. The tom made his way to the back of the den, curling in the nest he had made when he arrived in TreeClan a few mornings ago. The ginger and white tom looked up as he saw something shaking in a nest not too far away.
Jeez, these clan cats are really sensitive. The tom blinked his green eyes before speaking.
"I hope you don't plan on doing that all night." His overly blunt personality wasn't going to help with this cat. He blinked, the four lines crossing over his left eye meeting together.

Willowlight froze, blinking tears out of his eyes as he looked over at the unfamiliar tom that had spoken to him. His green eyes blazed with anger for a moment, before returning to their dull, emotionless state. "I'm sorry," the pale tabby apologized, his voice hollow. There was a few seconds of silence before he spoke up again. "I've never seen you around before," the newly made warrior stated, giving an obviously forced smile, "what's your name? Mine's Willowlight," the young tom introduced, his voice cracking as a few tears managed to escape his hold and flow from his eyes.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody wasn't expecting that he would have to talk to this cat. He just wanted to sleep. The ginger and white tom sighed in his mind, not really wanting to come off as someone rude. "No surprise there. I joined a few days ago. I was from the Tribe." The tom was the same age as this cat, Willowflight.
"I'm Woody. Nice to meet you, Willowflight." Man, these clan cats have the weirdest names ever. How do they remember them? Mousetails and Foxears.

((Sorry about the late reply!!!))
Willowlight took a deep breath, trying to calm himself a bit before speaking again. "It's nice to meet you too, Woody," he managed a light smile. Woody- what a weird name, he thought. He never really understood rouges, loners, and kittypets. At least they weren't DeathClanners-- he was sure that everyone in the clan disliked those mangy foxhearts at this point. "So," he tipped his head lightly to the side, "what brings you too TreeClan?" he asked.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody nodded to him at his replying about meeting him. The ginger and white tabby tom paused, hesitating before he replied. "I was a loner before I joined the Tribe. After my best friend died in there, I decided to come here." he replied, making an effort not to show any weakness. "I am actually glad I came. It's better than living alone."

Willowlight nodded, "I'm glad you like it here-- hey, maybe I could show you around the territory sometime?" he tilted his head to the side, looking over at Woody with hopeful eyes. So his best friend died too... the pale tabby mentally pouted at the sorrowful thought, why do cat's have to die? he softly whined to himself. He knew it had to happen-- but it caused so much grief, he didn't know what he would do if he lost another close friend...

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody shrugged. He knew he had better things to do than be given a territory by one of the clanners, but if it would make the cat not cry, he'd do it. "Sure, if you would like. Just plan a time and tell me." he meowed, turning his head to lick his ginger and white shoulder.

"Awesome, I can't wait," Willowlight said with a smile. "Hey," his green eyes gleamed as he scooted a little closer to Woody, "do you think you could tell me what it's like outside the clan?" he asked hopefully. He didn't want to leave TreeClan-- no, this is where he grew up, and where all his friends live; but being forever confined inside the borders had always made him curious of the outside world.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody was not surprised to hear the other cat ask him about what it was like outside of TreeClan. He was more or less anticipating it. "Well, it's nothing special. It's like living in the clan, except you are alone." The ginger and white tom stared at him, his tail twitching.

"Really? When I was a kit one of the apprentices told me something about cats outside of clans grouping up together to fight ligers; I never really believed him though," Willowlight said. It sounds a little lonely living outside the clans.... the pale tabby thought, glancing over at Woody and letting his ears droop a bit.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER He shrugged. "Sometimes you group up. Usually, though, you're alone." he replied, shaking his head. "I remember only one instance that I was with other cats and that was in the tribe."

"Tribe... you mentioned being from that before, didn't you?" Willowlight said a soft tone, tipping his head to the side. He had heard the name a few times before, but didn't have any concrete information the place-- only enough to know it was like a Clan. "Would it bother you if you could tell me about it?" the grey tabby asked curiously.

I DON'T HAVE THE POWER ON MY SIDE FOREVER Woody nodded at the cat. "Yes I have." He paused before sighing to himself. More explaining. I'm so stupid for speaking too much. "It's just a group of cats, kind of like your clan. We didn't have two medics. We had a group of medics. We lived in a barn." he replied.

"That sounds interesting, I've never really seen a "barn" before, but it seems to me like it'd be pretty neat," Willowlight said with a smile. He was relatively sure a barn was a two-leg... thing. Like a two-leg nest, but different. He was about to ask Woody about what exactly a barn was, when he realized he was bombarding his new den mate with an annoying amount of inquiries. Especially this late in the day. Deciding to focus the subject on something else, he said, "Heh, I guess I've sort of been pestering you with questions, haven't I? Well then, I guess it would only be fair if we evened out the playing field, don't you think?" the pale tabby asked rhetorically, tipping his head to the said and smiling, "so go head-- ask me any question"
