I've begun my practice portfolio (This is my first experience drawing hands, btw.) (I SHOULD REALLY LET IT BE KNOWN I'VE HAD A LITTLE UNDER 4 DAYS TO MAKE A PRETTY MUCH COMPLETE PORTFOLIO SO THIS ISN'T REALLY MY BEST WORK.. THESE WERE SEVERELY RUSHED DUE TO MY LACK OF TIME. THESE ARE ALSO ONLY PRACTICE PORTFOLIOS PIECES FOR MY INSTRUCTORS TO REVIEW. MY REAL PIECES WILL BE DONE IN LATER DECEMBER/JANUARY/FEBRUARY) I'm trying to apply to the top animation school in Canada so this is kind of a lot of work ahead for me. So if you've noticed I've been slightly inactive-ish, well, here ya go.

By the way, anyone striving to do art, even if just for a hobby, some artists idek how they do it, they are just more adept to drawing things I guess.. But tbh like, going through this animation course I've learned so much about the foundation of drawing. You don't need to be 'talented'. To be honest I don't believe in talent, myself. It's practice. Four months ago I had no clue how art really worked until I took the four months I've been in this course to really understand gesture, structure and build up.
So no one should discourage themselves because drawing may not come naturally or be harder for you. You'll just have to work harder to get better, but that's not a bad thing. The people who usually have to work the hardest end up coming out the strongest. Walt Disney, who's a renown image of drawing and animation, failed multiple times before becoming a success.
Just gotta try. I, myself, am taking two-three years off, I graduated high school last summer, and am spending these years at a local workshop in the city, I'm from a small town, to improve myself. If you are serious about something you should just go for it. :3
(this is sunfish btw)

Your art is even better than last time I saw it flurr :3 all of it is really, really good! It actually reminds me of one of my friends drawings, and I think it's awesome that you draw things for other people without telling them, it's just so nice <3 I'll definitely start watching this thread! (Oh, guys. I am so so so so sorry! I forgot to mention, I'm back. It's Softbreeze, in the flesh ;3 I came home!)
