Dawnkit burst out of the nursery, full of energy and happiness. She spotted a mossball and walked towards it. She picked it up and tossed it, she ran to get it and ran into another kit. "Oh, sorry.." She mewed to the other kit, hoping that she would forgive Dawnkit.

I had just woken up from a rather pleasant nap, and had padded out of the nursery to take a stretch and maybe grab a bite to eat.  I hadn't eaten in quite a while, and I could feel my stomach rumbling, like a newborn kit deprived of it's mother when it was hungry.  Stifling a sigh, I quickly cleaned myself and headed towards the fresh-kill pile.  I was about halfway there when another kit came bounding into me.  Shocked, I turned to see another kit about my age, maybe a little older.  I didn't know her name, but I had seen her around the nursery before.  Shaking off her apology, I nodded.  "Don't worry about it!  "We all make mistakes.  Anyways, my name's Melodykit, what's yours?" I mewed, flashing the kit a smile.

Dawnkit stood up and mewed, "Nice to meet you melodykit, names dawnkit." Melodykit seemed nice and about her age. "Do you wanna play a game?" She asked.

I nodded, happy with this idea.  After a moment's thought, I said, "What would you like to play?  We could play mossball or maybe warriors?" I suggested.  I really would have liked to play warriors, but I thought I'd let Dawnkit choose, for it was the polite thing to do.

"I'd play warriors if you want to," dawnkit mewed. She flicked her tail, she'd never played warriors before but had heard its pretty fun.

"Alright!" I said with a smile.  I thought about what position I wanted to be for a moment, and then said, "I'd like to be the leader, if that's okay with you.  Melodystar has a nice ring to it, don't you think?" I asked, bemused by myself.  I wanted to be the Clan leader someday, but it probably wouldn't happen.  I'd just have to be content with following orders and serving my Clan the best I could.

Dawnkit nodded agreement, "I shall be the deputy, dawnsong." She bounced around happily, then mewed to 'melodystar', "Shall we go on patrol now?"

With a nod, I smiled before replying.  "Sure, Dawnsong.  Just give me a minute, I'd like to eat something before we depart." I said, trying to give a superior air.  I loved prey, especially baby wolves.  Though, they were quite rare, for the mothers could rip the warriors' heads off!
