Briarkit laughed back. "Yeah. I guess you were. My - er, our -" she corrected herself, looking at Brackenkit, "our mother is Spiderleaf." Her chest puffed slightly as she said her mother's name. She was proud to have Spiderleaf as a mother, even though she didn't know that much about her background in Rock Clan. "Anyway, I bet you're a pretty good runner, you being so big and all. Why don't we all have a race?" Briar asked the whole group.

"Really? You guys are my siblings! Spiderleaf is my mother too," she said with a smile. The tabby never seen any of her own siblings, yet she has not Briarkit and Brackenkit as her siblings.

Brackenkit flashed his smile. "Well fast or not, I like the idea of a race." He glanced at Larkkit. He didn't really want to talk for her, but he couldn't help himself. "Larkkit wants to be the fastest cat in Rockclan when she's older. I think she's probably the fastest now. And I think that she'd like to show you all how fast she is." He got into a set stance for running, his whole body broached down with the front half a little lower than the back half. " And I want to see where I stand in comparison to all three of y'all. So let's get started if no one has any objections." He hopped from paw to paw ready for some action.

Just then Dovekit walked into the nursery and went I her nest. She saw the other cats and wanted to play, but she was shy and didn't feel like jumping in.

"Ooh! A race!" the calico loved running, and she was excited, "I do wish to be the fastest cat in RockClan, lets get started, indeed!" Larkkit crouched down, her tail straight out with the tip flicking as she was ready.

A race! This made Dovekit even more interested. She managed to overcome her shyness and walked over to the other cats. "C-can I race with y-you?" Dovekit asked shyly. She had lean muscles that made her a quick runner and she really wanted to know how fast she was compared to other kits.

"Sure you can play!" Brackenkit said to the new kit who had appeared. "Get in you starting position and we will start the race" He saw Hawkkit get into his running position. Brackenkit took notes on his stance. He looked at Larkkit too. He smiled at her. She would win. That was almost no question. But would he get second? He was faster than his sister, or at least he thought he was. Hawkkit would be either super fast or very sluggish. And he knew nothing about Dovekit, the new one, but she could give him a fun for his money. "Ready... Get set..." He looked around, making sure everyone was ready...

Dovekit quickly got in position to race and waited patiently for the other kit to start the race.

Dovekit was ready to sprint as soon as the other cat said go. She wasn't sure if she should let the other kits win or go at her true best. She quickly decided to run as fast as possible.

"GO!" Yelled Brackenkit as loud as he could as he took off. Everything seemed to rush past him. He was focusing on his feet, he didn't want to trip on anything and make himself a fool. He was running fast, he could tell, but he wasn't using all of his strength. No, he would wait. He would use the rest of his power to sprint forward at the very end. He wanted to see how the others were keeping up, but he didn't dare look back and get distracted. The other side of the nursery was in his sights, he just had to make it there.
