Firepaw felt her burning at Foxpaw's action, and she turned away. "I-I know that!" she cried, finishing the nest quick and moving to the nest. I don't really want to talk about the fall right now... I'll only blame myself. But when Speckpaw said it was his own fault, Firepaw rose to defend him. "Its not, Speckpaw! Its no ones fault! It was just an accident!"

Speckpaw lowered his head and mumbled, "Maybe." He didn't really want to talk about it right now. It still hurt to think that he was a direct- or at least indirect- cause to his brother's injury.

Speckpaw finished the last nest on his side. "D-do any of you guys need help? We're n-n-nearly done, I think." The trio of friends only had the ones Foxpaw and Firepaw were working on.

Firepaw had her paw tangled in some dirty nest, and she turned playful eyes to Speckpaw. "I could use a little help." she meowed.

Speckpaw laughed at Firepaw's predicament. "S-sure, I'll help." He padded over to his friend, not noticing his brother's reaction.
The apprentice carefully untangled Firepaw from the mess.

Fox paw threw the being out of the den. "I need to stretch my legs " he said/muttered. They wouldn't notice anything anyway.

Firepaw shot Foxpaw a look of concern a moment before her paw slipped free. Turning it over a few times, she smiled kindly at Speckpaw. "Thanks! I almost thought I'd have to become somecat's nest!" she purred, giving the exit where Foxpaw had gone a quick glance. Her smile faltered. "He's been a little irritable lately. Do you know what's going on-being his brother in all?"

Speckpaw frowned. "N-no, I don't know. I-I-I wish I did..." He finished up the last nest with Firepaw's help.
"I-I think we're d-d-done here," with that, the apprentice padded out of the warrior's den after his brother, making sure Firepaw was behind him.
