Leopardripple

softbreeze padded into the elder's den quietly, just in case leopardripple was asleep. prey was in her jaws that she had caught out on the prairie, a mouse and a vole. she looked around and quietly said "leopardripple? are you here?" she had brought the elder prey and came to sit with her, due to most cats thinking she had gone nuts, softbreeze worried that she may end up being neglected and avoided. she didnt want that for leopardripple.

"Blackthorn mentoring my kit.. gonna murder him.. family murderer.. thinking hes all great just cause hes the deputy, and then Hawkbreeze dying on me.. who the Darkpool does everything think they are?" A black silhouette sat in the back of the den her eyes narrowed. "Who is he anyway.." unhearable words were muttered and then her head shot up and turned slowly, her lime green eyes sparked with insanity. "Who's there?!" she snapped and then saw it was Softbreeze. "Oh, just you. Your welcome in.. what do you need?"

"hello leopardripple" the she-cat said happily "well i was hunting and i caught a mouse and a vole. i knew that you must be a bit lonely, so i came to ask if i could share with you. no cat should be alone, and well, i was afraid that you were alone." she said sincerely before walking over to the elder, giving her the vole or the mouse. "i also believe in grieving with friends. if you want, you can tell me about hawkbreeze and skywing. sometimes, it helps to get all your feelings out in the open with a friend."

Leopardripple frowned. "Thanks, you can if you dare be seen with me." she said as she pawed the small mouse toward herself. She lowered her head and used it simply as a pillow as she looked at her as she sighed. "Its a rather long story, both of them combined and your a warrior. You must have other duties to do." she mewled.

" nah, its okay. im good to vent to and i've already done what was expected of me today. i want to help you. your a good cat who wants the best for her son, you've had a lot of grief in your life. you deserve someone to talk to and i would feel privileged to be the cat you trusted and told." she said as she sat beside the elder with a small sincere small on her face. it was true, she wanted to be there for leopardripple. she needed someone and softbreeze wanted to help her

"Very well. Will start with Hawkbreeze than." she mewled and then she sat up and looked at the female. "I saw Hawkbreeze wander around camp, ok? He was mates with Clawfur before she was a queen and I never was attracted to him, until one day we met. I talked to him almost everyday and fell for him, thats when Clawfur was named a queen and I went for him. We became mates, yet he still had kits with her making me jealous." she started. "We fought, I ran off I had kits with a loner named Vaughn. The kits name was Hypnos, Hawkbreeze found out and hated me." she stated. "We broke up and then got back together, and then we became elders and never got back together. We would fight everyday. Our last fight stopped with me saying I hated him." she said with a sigh.

"We never said sorry... and then he died.. I still loved him.. I wanted to named Rapidpaw after him.. but we agreed that was a bad idea, so maybe he'll become Rapidbreeze or Rapidhawk.. something after Hawkbreeze you know?" she mewled. "I miss him.." she whimpered.

softbreeze listened attentively and touched her tail to leopardripple's shoulder in support when she talked about the fights and hawkbreeze's death. "i think naming rapidpaw after hawkbreeze is an amazing idea, it'll definitely keep hawkbreeze in all of our hearts and minds." she said with a nod "missing him is very understandable, i honestly miss him too. i never really met hawkbreeze but ive heard about him from many cats and from those stories i feel as though i have grown to know his personality. he sounds like an amazing cat. i think the best we can do is to remember him and keep him in our hearts and minds always, he will be watching over us and im sure he will be watching over you with love and caring in his gaze" she said with sureness in her voice as well as empathy, she felt the pain and the hurt and the sadness as though it were her own

She nodded. "Ya I only hope I can see him soon, like I'm not wishing for death. But see him in dreams you know?" she mewled and then lay her head down and she sighed. "Ok now for Skywing... oh Cloudclan my family." she mewled and looked up at her. She blinked her lime green eyes and took a shaky breathe.

"We all were born in different clans. My cousins Ashmist and Thundernight were in Iceclan, im here, Skywing and Ashfang and Ravensong were in Treeclan, Jazzy and Christopher in Rockclan, Scourge and Raven in Deathclan and then we had a loner I can't remember her name... mm.. oh Savannah!" she said and then blinked her eyes.

"Thundernight and Ravensong were first to go. Thundernight went missing and Ravensong got exiled for nearly murdering a cat and became a loner named Fang. Then it was Scourge, who was murdered by Foxy her mentor, then Raven went missing. Savannah was next to go missing." she started. She then sat up. "Jazzy and Christopher are still in Rockclan known as Jazzy and Splashspirit, and Ashmist came to Fireclan and my friend Wavespirit went to Iceclan." she said.

"I heard news of Ashfangs death, attacked by three rogues and murdered. It drove Skywing to brink of insanity and then he got in a fight with a tom that he was competing against to win the love of his life Littlepool who was a former Treeclan queen that had passed onto Cloudclan. Well he accidentally killed the tom hitting his neck, and he was exiled. He went insane and tried coming to me, where he was murdered by Blackthorn. Though I'm not sure where his remains are.." she muttered.

"All I have left is Ashmist, Jazzy, and Splashspirit.. its not ok.. Skywing and Ashfang didn't deserve it."

she shook her head in agreement "no cat deserves to die. skywing sounded like a nice cat from what you've said and im sure that it wasn't on purpose that he killed the other tom. blackthorn could have found a way better than killing to stop skywing from entering the camp without permission, but thats in the past now so i guess we have to deal with the result of his mistake(shes talking about the mistake of blackthorn not thinking about his options better). everycat makes mistakes, he should have thought about the result. even though he thought skywing was a threat, i think that there could have been a better solution than killing" she said trying to think threw different scenarios in which skywing didn't die. she shook her head to clear her thoughts and then looked apologetically at leopardripple "sorry you had to listen to my rant there. anyways, feel a bit better now?" she asked, hopeful that she was at least a bit helpful at numbing the elders pain

"Blackthorn is on my haunt list when I die, that's all there is to say about that." the female said as she finished off her mouse and then she chuckled. "Kid, I rant all the time, I'm surprised no one has died from my ranting yet." the elder joked as she lay her head down and then sighed. "Ya.. I still feel its partially my fault I asked Hawkbreeze to go hunting with me all he wanted to do was stay in the den, he should of stayed.. he didn't die with me but did next time he went out." she sighed.

"W-would you be willing to take me out? I'm like a apprentice with my old age and being only elder left, not allowed out without a warrior."

softbreeze nodded "your not allowed to go out by yourself? thats terrible! of course i'll ake you outside with me" she said, glad she could help out. "come on, lets go." she said as she walked out of the elders den with leopardripple. she didn't care if other ats stared at her, she would stay loyal to her friends and help all the cats she could. leopardripple was one of her friends, she wasn't ashamed of that and she never would be

"Well ya, I have old bones minute something attacks me, I could break a bone and be a goner." she said as she stood and padded out of the elders den. She then looked at her. "I'm surprised your willing to be seen out in public with me." she said truthfully as she sighed. "Your a good cat.. and so nice to my son, that's what I like seeing. I feared he was gonna be a outcast having me as a mom."

"thanks" she whispered as she received the compliment from leopardripple "i don't think you have anything to worry about. rapidpaw is very smart, kind and eager to learn. anyone who thinks otherwise is a mousebrain" she said, smiling and purring just a little bit. she had had some good times with rapidpaw. as they began to descend to the entrance to camp softbreeze asked "soooo, where do you want to go leopardripple?"

"He is.. but hes also a pain in my tail.. uses my bunny fear against me, but boys will be boys right?" she questioned with a chuckle as she lowered her head and then she looked at Softbreeze. "I have somewhere I want to show you, that I want you to take my son some day.. believe it or not, its where me and his father fell in love." she mewled. "When I was younger of course."

softbreeze nodded "ok, ill take him there. lead the way" she said, gratefully. no one had ever shared something like this with her, and she had to admit, she was excited to see the place leopardripple was talking about.
