Skykit woke up feeling a little confused. He was cold. Did his mother and littermate leave him? The tom let put a distressed wail. "Momma? Momma!" The brown kit looked around wildly. In reality, he was only a tail-length from his mother's nest, though due to his new and blurry vision, he'd mistaken Shineheart's pelt for the nursery wall. Skykit widened his blue eyes as wide as he could. "Momma! Did you leave me? Where are you?"

Shineheart flicked her ears to the distressed wail of a kit. She opened one green eye to get half of her eyeview for which kit was exactly wailing and sighed in relief. It was only her other kitten, Skykit. It must of been the reason for why a certain part of her nest was cold. As gently as she could, she stepped out from her nest to move over to the kit and licked the top of his head.
"There there now, mommy's right here. How did you ever get yourself out of the nest now?" She mewed softly, lowering herself down into a crouch.

Skykit gasped as he felt his head being groomed, then purred at the voice. "I-I don't know! Maybe I sleepwalked! Do you think that's what I did?" He stared right at her as she lowered herself, and clumsily padded forward to lean against her. "I thought you left me!" He buried his face in her warm fur and purred some more. "Didya know that I learned to walk? Some nice kits taught me!" His voice was loud and muffled.

"We might never know, but you could of done that." The queen murmured, curling her tail around the kitten, purring herself.
"Aww. I could never leave you while your a kit dearie. Your too precious like my other kitten." She bent down to swipe another lick over Skykit's head. She did realize from how Skykit got over to her, he seemed to have the walking capabilities.
"Ahh. So some kits have! You seem to be pretty good at it as well. Do you remember the kits names that thought you?"

Skykit grinned and stepped away from his mother, mostly to show off his walking skills. "Really? You think I'm good at it?" He beamed and started bouncing around her. "Vaporkit and Starlingkit taught me! They're really nice!"

"You are getting better for real!" Shineheart giggled lightly, reaching over with a white paw to tap the kit on the nose. Wait. Vapor and Starlingkit? One of those names sounded so familar.
"Those two kits taught you? How nice of them! Though one of those names sounds so familiar." Shineheart shrugged it off.
"So. What would you think about your sisters?"

Skykit stopped bouncing around her and tilted his head. "Oh, so do you know one of them?" He walked over to her tail and hopped over it back and forth. "My sisters? I think they're okay. I wish they'd want to play more."

"Mhmm. Im sure I met one of them." She couldnt put a paw on it, but she would probably remember it later at some random time. She glanced down to her kit, twitching the tip of her tail.
"Ahh. Im sure they would play more, just gotta ask them sometime you know?" She meowed, dragging her tongue across Skykit's ear.
"Hmm. Maybe if you had another brother, you wouldnt have to be the only boy kitten. Would be nice to have a brother huh?" She meowed.

"Yep! I'll be sure to ask them. Hopefully it's not a no." He frowned and flicked his ear she'd just licked. His face brightened up as she continued. "It would be really nice! I'm fine with my sisters though. I love them both!" He giggled amd started pawing at her white tail. He looked at his own and made a confused face. "How come I look nothing like you?"

Shineheart hummed for a moment to think about the thought. Grinning.
"Atleast I know you love your two sisters, im sure they love you as well, just like I love all three of you." She murmured. She glanced to Skykit's pelt, then her own,
"Hmm. Im im sure you inherited more from your father then me, thats probably why your fur is different from mines. But that doesnt mean you still have some parts of me inside you." She purred.

"So is father brown like me?" He gave her a curious look. What if he wasn't brown? What if he looked nothing like either of his parents? "What do you mean, parts of you inside me?" He looked down at his tummy. "I don't think I ate any of your fur!"

"mhmm. Your father is brown." She held back a mrrow of laughter at what Skykit had said next.
"Not like that. I mean like that im still your mother, and your still my kit, we are still related as ever and not even a different fur color or eyecolor can change that." The queen meowed happily.

"He is?" Skykit grinned and puffed out his chest, happy that he somewhat looked like one of his parents. He purred at her response. "Good." The kit laughed and went back to bouncing around the she-cat.

"You could say he has a sort of a tigerish look." The she-cat purred, glancing to the entrance.
"Hey. Why dont we head outside into the camp? It would be absolutely fun to do" Shineheart asked, flicking her tail, could maybe play around in the snow, or maybe look at the dens.

"Ooh. I bet he's big like a tiger, too!" He hopped around, grinning at her suggestion. "You'll let me? Sweet! Let's go!" He bursted out of the den and leaped, plummeting into the snow. The white stuff consumed him, and his fur was no longer visible. "Help! Everything is white!"
