He rolled onto his back, exposing the contrasting white fur of his belly. His paws hung idly in the air. He tilted back his head to focus ocean blue eyes, which were like two gemstones in an expanse of shadows, on the young grey female. "Mhm, DeathClan indeed. Harsh place, but you get used to waking up to the smell of blood. I was surprised when I managed to make somewhat conversation with my clan-mates after hearing the stories." He snickered, remembering the short-lived but mostly peaceful encounter. "It's nice we're still allowed to roam outside the borders. I enjoy it out here, lots of interesting cats roaming about." Then his head tilted. "So, are you planning on sticking around, or are you going to hightail it out of here?" He knew she'd hide her fear if she was at all afraid, but he decided he would ask anyway. He was curious how gutsy this Unity character really was.

He seemed so calm, like the fact of him being in Deathclan was just a cover of him wanting to belong somewhere. To have a title that wasn't just his name. Her silver eyes searched his, trying to pull some type of answer from them that wasn't told through his jaws.
"I don't know Kot." She mewed, drawing her attention away from him and back up to the sky above. "I think there is more to you than you are letting on."

His gaze turned curious. "Is that so? What do you figure I'd be keeping hidden?" He wasn't sure what Unity was getting at, but this was getting interesting, and he liked that. He remained belly-up, head against the ground, watching her carefully. This had indeed been a fun encounter, and it had been a while since he'd had one of those.

The tone in his voice had changed... was that... curiosity?
She shrugged, as much as a cat laying down could shrug and mewed with her mussel still trained towards the sky, "I can't exactly put my paw on it... you know?" Unity mewed, she often got these types of feelings and assumptions she couldn't exactly explain.
"I feel as if, you're looking for more than just a clan." Training her mind she picked through it and tried to think of a better explanation, although nothing seemed to be leaking from her jaws. So instead she added, "but I would love to stick around and find out just what is behind those blue eyes."

A small smile lifted the corner of the dark furred tom's maw. "Is that so? Well, be my guest," he purred. "I'm also curious to see what kind of cat I'm dealing with once all masquerades have been set aside, if I may add." His tail swished as he turned his vision to admire the stretch of dark blue sky above them. He could tell she was putting up an act, not showing her true emotions, but all would come to light eventually, assuming she hung around long enough for him to piece things together. "It's a lovely night to admire the stars, wouldn't you agree?"

Fadingnight nodded, turning her attention back to the sky and watching the glowing orbs above her that reflected like glass in her eyes. "We all have our secrets Kot." The loner mewed, tracing a set of stars with an unsheathed claw.
"Some of us just have more than others."
Sighing she sat there for another minute in silence. Just feeling the breeze and smelling the scents of fish from the river. It was about time she settled down for the night. In this open area was somewhere an owl would easily shred a cat like her.
"I think I should be finding some better shelter." She finally spoke, breaking the silence and her gaze from the sky. Rolling off her back and to her paws she added, "you're welcome to come with, purely your choice."

"Hm... I should probably return home, see if anyone's stolen my den," he answered with a roll of his eyes. Knowing DeathClan, someone had probably taken his nest for themselves. Besides, he hadn't been in the territory at all that day, and decided it was best he returned. "It's been nice meeting you though, Unity." His words held the hint of a purr and he dipped his head, then flicked his tail. "I guess we're parting ways, then? I hope to see you around."

Shrugging and letting out a low sigh she rolled up to her paws, rolling her shoulders and starting off towards the opposite oak forest of which the tom was heading to. "Hopefully Kot," the multiple shaded she-cat mewed.
Turning her head over her shoulder one lest time she nodded the slightest bit and added a blink of her silver eyes and mewed, "I'm sure we will meet again."
With that the loner entered into a trot and dove into the shadows of the forest again. The Deathclan tom's sapphire gaze forever engraved into her mind.
