Fauna trotted through the forest, humming happily. It was a nice, sunny day. Perfect for a walk. Though it'd be much nicer with a companion. But, she only knew one cat, which was Starry. And she didn't want to go through the trouble of finding her.
So instead, Fauna kept walking past the evergreens, halting abruptly when something buzzed over and landed on her nose. The she-cat went cross-eyed and tried not to screech. A bee, sitting right on her face. How rude.
"Someone...help..."

Dove danced around the patch of forest, occasionally leaping over rocks and sniffing the flowers. Drought had promised to summon her when needed, and that was what she was trying to get off her mind. It was predictable that she wouldn't be called on for moons to come; plans sometimes took time to perfect before being pitched.
During her dance, the tabby caught the sight of a frozen cat and blinked, wondering what was wrong. A fox nearby? A rat? The Royal's hackles rose, remembering the scars given by the rat raid with Vex. It was not a pretty sight, but was healing. Creeping behind the stranger, she whispered. "What's out there?"

Fauna flinched as she heard a voice from behind her. Someone was there, and they actually thought there was trouble. I'll look like a fool, explaining I was frozen because of a bee!
Summoning up all the bravery she had, Fauna lifted up a white paw slowly. In a flash, she batted herself across the face. The bee fell to the ground and laid there for a moment before buzzing off again. Face feeling hot, the youngling turned around and lowered her head in shame.
"Just... An insect. No real trouble."

Dove gasped, watching the stranger hit herself. Why would an cat do that?! As the youngling turned around, Dove sniffed the stranger's nose. "You let an insect land on you?" Fascinating. "I would be so terrified, heck, I can only deal with ants and flies!"

Fauna brightened up and smiled. "Really? I was scared too. I thought you'd yell at me for being scared of a bug." She wrinkled her nose. "Though, I don't want to smell like a bee. I'm new here, do you know a stream somewhere where I can wash my face off?"

"Why would I yell? There's a stream just uphill." she commented, swishing her tail for the youngling to follow. "Where are you from? Your parents didn't show you the territory?"

"Because some think that being scared of a bug is prissy and ridiculous." Fauna frowned for a moment, though a purr began to rise in her throat as Dove lead the way to the stream. "I don't know where I'm from or who my parents are. I just sorta wandered around my whole life until I stumbled into this place." She shrugged, then tilted her head. "Why? Did your parents show you the territory?"

Dove frowned at the idea of the stranger not knowing her own parents. 'That must be a shame. I don't know what I would do if I didn't know who mine were. Or my siblings. . .'
She shrugged, seeing that the youngling was not affected by her decision to leave. "No. They were rogues who passed soon after my siblings and I learned how to walk. I came upon Deathclan by the time I reached adulthood."

"Really? Then where'd you grow up?" She asked, wondering why- wait, what was this cat's name? "I don't believe I know your name yet! I'm Fauna." The youngling trilled another purr, her trot turning more into a skip.
