This list applies only to the Gray Wolf, not subspecies like the arctic wolf, red wolf etc.
Accepted wolf colors.
natural wolf eye colors:
• golden - most common • yellow • brown • hazel • amber • pale greenish-silver
natural wolf coat colors:
• white • black • brown [ including chocolate and tan ] • grey • silver • fawn • cream • ochre • charcoal • red • white with black/grey variations • a mix of brown, grey, cream and sometimes black
natural wolf markings:
• white muzzle [ for black/dark wolves only ] • dark mask • pale/white underside • white chest [ for black/dark wolves only ]
Fur length: short and thick. No long-haired wolves! [ exceptions are the Mexican wolf and wolf-dog hybrids. ]
natural wolf nose / paw pad colors:
• black • pink • liver • dark liver • black-and-pink patched
Notes:
Full-blooded albino wolves do not occur in the wild. I don't know if they even exist in captivity. So, I don't think pink eyes are allowed. Even If they did occur in the wild, they would probably be born blind which would be fatal to wild wolves. But, wolves don't really have albinism in their genetic pool, and they cannot be pure white like dogs. However, they can be melanistic. [ Pure black. ]
Blue eyes do not occur in wolves but they are allowed in the wolf board, as well as solid green.
Fun fact! Originally, pure black fur was not a natural wolf color. It resulted from interbreeding with ancient domestic dogs a long time ago.
