Spiderleaf yawned and stretched herself out on the edge of Iceclan's camp, mentally comparing the space to her home in Rockclan. The most obvious thing was that it was colder, something her cropped fur wasn't suited to. Not that she was entirely uncomfortable. So far the worst shed received was suspicion, not as bad as the hostility Robonfridt had warned her about. If it was the worst she had to endure, then perhaps her recovery wouldn't be so painful after all . THIS IS THE NEW YEAR

"Umm…"
Now, Adderkit would never call himself a genius, but he did like to think that he was fairly smart. The pale kitten had been out of the nursery to have a sniff around camp when he'd caught a whiff of something odd. It was cat-scent, but not IceClan scent. He'd never smelled anything like it before. Which had to mean one thing: the black-and-white feline relaxing at the edge of camp was a stranger!
He had wasted no time in trotting over curiously. Spider reminded him a bit of Rowansky and Fallensnow somehow, though he couldn't quite put a whisker on why. Maybe talking to the outsider would reveal some answers.
"You're not from around here, right?"

Her ears pricked when a figure trotted towards her, and Spiderleaf smiled as she recognized the small form of a kit. What clan she was in didn't seem to matter; kits were everywhere, and that notion brought her comfort. "Very perceptive," she laughed with a brief smile. "No, I'm not. My home is in Rockclan."
She supposed the news of her arrival would be all over the camp soon; and she was torn between bitterness and excitement. She would have preferred in Robinfrost had allowed her to keep her peace, but there was something exiting about meeting new people, even potentially hostile ones. "I'm Spiderleaf. Who might you be, if I may ask?" THIS IS THE NEW YEAR

RockClan. Adder had only heard rumors about the cats in the cliffs - he couldn't imagine trying to live anywhere other than the mountains. Then again, the calico elder of IceClan seemed to have taken a disliking to him, so he had a tough time getting anyone to tell him stories about what life was like elsewhere.
"My name's Adderkit. Uh… what's it like out there?"
Native or not, perhaps the other queen would decide to tell the pale tabby a bit about RockClan life. He shuffled closer so he could hear more easily and sat down.

Silverkit saw Adderkit trot over to the strange cat and pricked up her ears in curiosity. What was the cat doing here anyway? Well, if she had made it that far into camp, she must have a good reason. Besides, this had the potential to be a brilliant story! Silverkit quietly padded nearer to the pair of cats and eased herself into a crack in the rock face. Maybe she could learn more about the different clans!

"Adderkit? A strong name," the she-cat mused with a short laugh of approval. The queen had already decided to tell Adderkit whatever it was he wanted to know, even before he had fully asked the question. Some things never changed, and even in a hostile clan the kits were the things to draw her attention away from her predicament. As if on cue Spiderleaf detected movement out of the corner of her eye, and her nose twitched with a new kit scent, one obviously trying to hide. She didn't bother calling out to this one, but did raise her voice slightly in case it wanted to listen as well.
"Well, it's much drier, to begin with. Unless it's a very cold winter we wont have any snow at all, which is why my fur is much shorter than most of yours," she began, somehow only remembering random facts. "Our territory isn't so very different from yours, very rocky with lots of space to climb, but even more space to dig. But we're small, the smallest clan out of all four. Most days we feel more like a very big family living together, than an actual clan." She'd never minded the fact, being surrounded by a small group of trusted friends was more comfortable to her. She didn't know how she'd survive living in Iceclan permanently. THIS IS THE NEW YEAR

Silverkit thought about what the cat had said. It did sound nice, living in a clan which was so bonded. But she loved IceClan, and would't leave it for anything. Well, I suppose each Clan has it's own advantages. Maybe when I'm an apprentice I could go to gatherings and learn more about different clans. Her mind made up, Silverkit lay back down to listen to the strange cat, and wondered if she could one day visit other clans like that cat.
(Silverkit is assuming that you are something like a diplomat)

"Dad picked my name out," Adder told the queen somewhat pridefully. He didn't truly realize the consequences of having a father like his; the patched tom had always treated him well enough. It had been great. Until his mother had taken him and Viper to this mess of a Clan, and he'd been stuck with idiots ever since.
He didn't hear Silverkit's approach, since Spiderleaf was telling a story of sorts. He listened eagerly. It seemed like RockClan was rather different from the mountains in its own ways. But… if that was the case, he had to wonder what would make Spiderleaf leave.
"Wait, why're you here then? Are you staying long?"

"Your father must have high hopes for you," she replied. It was always nice to see fathers taking an interest in the raising of their kits, enough so to name them at least. She felt a twinge in her stomach, and couldn't decide whether it was her own nerves or the kits growing there, and sighed.
"I was injured by your border. There was little chance of making it back to my own camp safely, and that is when Robbi- erm, Robinfrost discovered me and offered to escort me back here. It was safer, in the long run. I'll only be here until my leg heals." At the last sentence, she almost sighed in regret, though managed to hold it in. "I promise I'm quite boring though, there must be other questions you have to ask?" THIS IS THE NEW YEAR
