- no worries! -
Snapkit was gleeful as he padded out of the nursery. He'd managed to ninja his way out of the nest without waking Edgekit or his mother, something he was infinitely proud of. He found Silverkit quickly enough, though he'd missed her at first because of her black pelt. "Hey!" Came his whisper, already looking at the sky and not at her. "Seen anything interesting?"

Silverkit quickly blinked up at the sky, trying to hide her glee that Snapkit had actually appeared. "Well, I see the CloudClan warriors, and the pattern of the scorpion. My mother told me that it came about when..." Silverkit caught herself quickly. Hadn't she already said that she would try to see patterns that were her very own? Why was it so hard to stop seeing patterns she knew? Blinking at the night sky again, she started to see it in a new light. "Well, I see a cluster of three stars, with one brighter than the others. Maybe the brighter one is the leader." Well, it was hard to look past the Clan tales about the three stars, in that the brighter one had been a noble warrior, and the dimmer ones his evil parents. But she had succeeded, a little at least.

"Oh?" He murmured, vaguely interested in the story. He liked making his own shapes of course, but learning about history and legends was just as interesting. He lay down on his back to get a better view, and glanced to where Silverpaw was gesturing. The tabby hummed quietly as she spoke, his own mind churning.
"Hmm, good one. You see all the little stars around it? I think it's a lion, with one good eye and one blind eye, and the other star can be his nose or something. Then all the other stars are his big mane, and when he roars and shakes his head, he rattles the stars!" He didn't see the art of making up stories as a competition, and he was interested in comparing his imagination to Silverkit's, since they saw the world so differently. "Which ones are next?"

Silverkit closed her eyes as she imagined the lion. She could easily imagine how the lion would rattle and shake the night sky. She looked up, at another part of the sky. She could see a spattering of stars, all clumped together. "Well, look over there." She pointed with her tail. "See that patch of stars? It looks to me like a queen, curled up around her kits, grooming them." The stars twinkled brightly at her as she stared at them. Suddenly, she saw something she had missed before. A snout. A dog? She had heard tales of bloodthirsty dogs and how they ripped apart many cats, mercilessly. But here was a dog taking care of her kits, like a queen would. Maybe dogs are just like us. I'm sure we look bloodthirsty to our prey. Still, Silverkit wasn't too sure if she should mention this to Snapkit. He might take offence. But she decided to anyway, for he seemed like an openminded cat. "I think the queen is a dog." Silverkit whispered to Snapkit.
