Sunfish padded out of the den lazily, yawning and finding himself groggily walking over to the fresh kill pile. He grabbed a fish, of course his favorite and the majority of his diet, and settled down by a rock. He took the opportunity to look around the clearing, seeing no one yet he knew he shrugged, eating his meal. Batpaw

i must become a lionheart "Father!" Batkit exclaimed jubilantly, walking over to the warrior. It was unclear what exactly possessed the tom to believe this warrior right here, gracefully eating a fish, was his father, but it was a fact that he was certain of. That, and the fact that Robinfrost was his other father, and that the two together were his natural-born parents. He glanced around as Sunfish ate, feeling a brief sense of loss as he noticed Robinfrost missing. "Where's other father?" Then the tom shrugged, he supposed his dad was doing important deputy things. Instead of worrying, he busied himself burrowing into Sunfish's side, and curling up as his father ate. "How has your day been so far, father?"

Sunfish sighed. "Err.. Not sure where Robinfrost is." It was taking some getting used to. To think this kitten thought he had two fathers biologically was quite a delusion, in Sunfish's mind. But Robin and him had come to terms to just raise him together, though the concept was still odd that this kitten came out of no where claiming such.
"It's been alright, and you?"

i must become a lionheart Batkit was content to accept Sunfish's cluelessness in the matter. He had one father with him, and that was good enough. It was surprising how much peace he could derive simply from watching Sunfish eat, but he felt safe even so.
"I made a friend! I thought, 'What would Sunfish do in this situation' and I went up to someone, and now we're friends!" He reported proudly.

Sunfish blinked in puzzlement. Okay.. Maybe this kitten had somewhat gotten on his good side. The things he said actually made him quite happy in his company. Sunfish wasn't exactly the most adept to dealing with kits. He was if anything horrid at handling and dealing with them. But it seemed easy with Batkit.
"Oh? Is that so? What's your new friend's name?"

i must become a lionheart "Wildkit!" Batkit's purring increased, glad Sunfish was taking an interest in what he was saying. For a time he'd been scared he was nothing but an unwanted nuisance to his two fathers, but something finally seemed to be blooming between them.
"We were thinking that you had to complete some kind of friendship ritual to make it official?? Did you have to do something like that with Robinfrost?" He asked.

He tilted his head. "Friendship ... ritual?" There he went with his odd ideas. But it only made Sunfish stifle a laugh. "Heavens, no. If you want to be someone's friend you just have to get to know them better. You aren't required to do anything special, really. Just spend your time with them." He took another bite of his meal and smiled faintly.
"So, do you and Wildkit get along then? You'll have to introduce me sometime." Surely Sunfish was finding it interesting attempting to play the role of a father, also slightly entertaining.

i must become a lionheart So there was no friendship ritual? Batkit was actually a little disappointed by that. He would have felt better with a solid act to prove his friendship to Wildkit. Or maybe he was just feeling disappointed now because they had already completed the ritual. "Guess the blood sacrifice was unnecessary then," he muttered under his breath.
He brightened quickly though, when Sunfish displayed such an interest in his life. "You really want to meet him? That'll be fun! Do you have any friends Sunfish, apart from Robinfrost?"
