Fawnskip
Sunfish yawned, stretching and exiting the den groggily, heading to the fresh kill pile. He grabbed a trout and made his way to the middle of the clearing. He lay down and got himself comfortable before beginning to eat his meal. He'd been training Silverpaw recently so a nice break was definitely needed. He'd been busy with Silverpaw, Batkit, and fishing with Robinfrost that a bit of quiet time seemed well deserved.
He glanced around camp.

Owlpaw sighed, skipping out of the den, hoping to find a day where he can train. The orange and white feline ran around, twitching his short whiskers against the wind. He blinked his hetero-colored eyes, spotting a much more experienced tom. "Excuse me? I'm Owlpaw!" he said, calling before trotting over. He sat up tall, trying to make a nice impression, hoping the warrior was nice and liked him.

The golden-ginger tomcat blinked curiously as someone approached him. He gave a curt nod in greeting. "Hello Owlpaw." He replied with a flick of an ear. "I'm Sunfish, how are you?" Sunfish inquired curiously, tilting his head to one side. Sunfish noted the tom's posture. It made him stifle a small laugh.
"Doing well?"

The short apprentice blinked, Nice, check. The patched tom wanted to be friends with everyone, and maybe be famous along the clan. The tom sighed and believed it was too much, he just wanted to be known. He then nodded, "Sunfish is a cool name! I hope I get a nice name," he mewed. Owlpaw then smiled widely, "Doing very well! And you?"

"Thanks." So far most he'd introduced himself to had questioned his name intensely. This was a nice change. "I'm sure you will. I'm good friends with Robinfrost, and knowing him, he has some good ideas. Besides I'm sure if you throw in a suggestion or two maybe he'll consider." The tomcat's tail swished from side to side. "I'm good for the most part. A little busy around here but I like to keep myself occupied."

"Friends... good friends with the.. deputy?? That's amazing!" he gasped. He then thought really hard, trying to find names, "Owl.. nuhhhh... Owl, no. Wait.. Owl..." The tom sighed, Oh I'm just making a fool of myself, the tom looked up at the experienced warrior, smiling. "Being occupied is a good thing."

"Well I mean.. it's not that hard to believe. Robinfrost may seem to keep a bit to himself but it's hard to not be close to him when I've known him for so long." He shrugged. "I'm friends with a few deputies to be honest." He gave a hardy laugh. More like a few deputies were his family. Dustpetal, the former IceClan deputy and Blackthorn the former FireClan deputy. His nephew was the current FireClan deputy. Lineage just seemed to work that way.
"It is. It's better than having things be dull." He agreed. "I'm sure you can think of something. Owlflight, Owlmask, Owlfeather, Owlstrike.. There's many possibilities for a warrior name. But it's interesting to keep it close to portraying you." He'd been named Sunfish after his talent for fishing.

Owlpaw sighed, believing it seemed easy if you known them for a long time. He sighed again, stretching up tall scratching his ears. He blinked at the names. "I like them all! Just it might take a while for me to get a warrior ceremony."

"Hmm.. That's good." He tilted his head. "Why? Who's your mentor?" He didn't know too many other IceClanners but he thought it was worth asking.

"All of mine.. kinda disappeared.." he mewed with a gulp, he didn't want his mentors to just disappear, but then shot a bright green and blue eyed gaze at Sunfish, "Well.. do you have any apprentices?" The tom blinked a few more times, "You can train me.. but.. only if you want." What if I'm a curse? What if I make all my mentors.. gone?

"I'm training Silverpaw. But that's about it for now." He admitted. Other than that, he was free. "Oh? Well sure I don't see why not. I actually enjoy training to be honest. Sounds like a plan." He managed a small faint smile. "We can start training as soon as possible then."

Silverpaw? Never heard of her or him, he thought. He felt kinda embarrassed about his question, but felt overjoyed when he agreed. "Oh really?! Thanks! I really just need fighting and my assessment, that's pretty much it. But I'd also like to maybe fit some more hunting too. Maybe you can teach me fishing? I haven't known how yet-" he took a deep breath, "Thank you, I'm excited about training."

"Alright. Fighting and assessment, got it." He nodded. "I'd love to teach you fishing. The river is awesome and it's my favorite way of hunting. Plus, the river will freeze once leaf bare comes so it's good to learn how to do it now before fishing becomes difficult for the Clan." He explained.
"I'm glad to hear."

He nodded, hoping to finish his long term apprenticehood and move up to a warrior rank soon. The tom brought many names up in his head again, before deciding to comment. "Fishing sounds rather hard too.. But I believe once you know around it, it's super fun, right?"

"It's like swimming, you need to practice and get a feel for it before you can really make it a habit. But yes it is a lot of fun and I'm sure you'll enjoy it once you get used to it." He agreed, nodding. "It took me time to handle it."/b] He smiled.
