Otterkit laid on the floor of the nursery, bored out of his mind. "There's nothing to do here!" he shouted, rolling onto his belly and letting out a huff. When he did, something caught his eye. A ball of moss! Finally, he wouldn't be bored! He just needed someone to play with!
But... who was there to play with? He was only a few sunrises old, and hadn't really had time to make any acquaintances, let alone friends.

A quiet kitten, not too much bigger than Otterkit in height, but thick with fur, sat a little bit away from him. His yellow eyes just watched the entire nursery, not paying much attention to really anything in particular as he just stayed observant. He just sat straight up and looked about still, quietly just wondering what to do.

Otterkit looked around the nursery, his eyes landing immediately on Hazekit. "Hey!!" he said, trotting up to the kit. "Wanna play some moss ball?" he offered.

Hazekit didn't give much of a response to Otterkit besides a passing glance at him, but then he just stared at him for a minute with his yellow eyes. "I don't know how to play though." He gave the answer quietly and pretty blatantly, considering he didn't really have much in the way of friends and didn't talk much on top of that, he wouldn't really have much of a concept on games.

Otterkit tilted his head. How do you not know how to play mossball?! Instead of blurting the question out, he tried to stay polite and said, "That's okay! I can teach you!" Then, out of fear of Hazekit refusing, he quickly added, "It's not hard!"

Hazekit just kept his quiet personality in check as he just gave a small shrug, not really instantly agreeing, but deciding to go along with it since he didn't have anything else to really do.

Otterkit beamed. "Great!" he chirped, picking the mossball up with his tiny claws. "All you gotta do is toss it up..." he demonstrated, "and then hit it!" When the ball fell within reach, he smacked it, flinging it toward Hazekit. It landed on the ground in front of Hazekit, barely rolling to his white paws.

Hazekit just stared at the demonstration, paying close attention, but then just blankly stared at the moss ball as it rolled up to him, not really moving as he looked down at it. He then slowly picked it up with one paw, claws half way going into it, but as he tried to toss it upwards, he accidentally let go too early and it flung it over towards where Otterkit was, unintentionally.

Hazekit just tilted his head before giving a small grin, seemingly brightening up a bit as he repeated the action, but this time managed to toss it up correctly and then batted it towards Otterkit, trying to imitate what he did the first time.

Hazekit just kept his small grin as he repeated the same action as last time, trying to actually learn it fully before attempting anything else.

Hazekit just stared and tilted his head as he watched Otterkit bounce it off his head as he waited for his turn to come again.

Otterkit tossed the ball into the air, turned around completely and kicked it back to Hazekit. "Beat that!"
