Hazekit now gave a confused look, he didn't really have much of an argument against the order placement but he was confused to how the ranking went as for himself and how Otterkit was leader. Yet he just shrugged it off and stared at him, sitting straight up.

"Hazekit, you can be my deputy.... Hazestorm!" Otterkit purred, pleased with his name choice.

Silverpaw purred. This game really hadn't changed at all since she had left the nursery. Silverpaw supposed that she would have to be the enemy in this case. She disapproved of inter-clan rivalries. After all, we are all living in the same forest. Why should we cause bloodshed? "Then I'll be an attacking badger! I might change my role later on though." She mewed to the two kits.

Hazekit just gave a small grin and nodded, showing more evidence towards his silent attitude as he then just tilted his head a little. He finally came to the conclusion in his mind that Otterkit was the leader of the game because he did introduce it to him and it was only fair since Hazekit literally had no clue on how to play the game. Yet he then looked at Silverpaw, hearing her claim to the role of being a badger. It was pretty obvious that they all three were about the same size, it was ripe time for himself and Otterkit to go through the whole ceremony, but he knew that patience was going to prevail if they waited enough.

Otterkit went to stand by Hazekit. "Hazeki-- er, storm, we have to fight the badger, so she doesn't invade the camp!" he said, flailing a paw in Silverpaw's direction.

Silverpaw quickly assumed the lumbering gait of a badger and walked towards the two apprentices, She had never seen a badger for herself, but had heard many stories about them. "I'm gonna eat all of you!" Silverpaw growled. She knew that most badgers didn't necessarily speak or even eat cats, but she decided that it would make the game more interesting. She knew that she would have to tone down her fighting skills a little for the kits. The kits were almost the same size as the apprentice, but they hadn't received battle training yet. Silverpaw had been taught how to use her small size to her advantage, all well and good for a battle, but not so for a play fight wherein her speed would be toned down. Sheathing her claws, she aimed a gentle swipe at the nearest kit, making sure that she gave plenty of time for the kit to either dodge or retaliate.

Otterkit ducked away from her paw. "Is that the best you can do, badger?" he teased.
Otterkit, though he knew it was a game, loved to fight, whether play or real. Of course, he'd never been in a real fight, though he loved play fights, so he assumed that he loved real fights too. Why he loved fights, he wasn't really sure, he just really loved strategy and the dodging and hitting, and how fast paced a battle could be. He couldn't wait to be in his first battle as an apprentice!

Silverpaw gave a mock growl of frustration as Otterkit ducked away from her swipe. The kit had good fighting instincts. He would probably make a good fighter and Silverpaw almost envied his mentor. That cat would have an easy time training this kit. It was the sad reality of clan life that this kit, and many others would probably have to fight in a battle at some point. It was an important skill. Turning to Hazekit, Silverpaw lashed out with a hind leg at Otterkit while snapping at Hazekit. Then, even before she saw the kits' reactions, she crouched down, in the perfect position for the kits to leap on her back.

Otterkit dodged Silverpaw's hind leg, then after noticing her 'fatal mistake', leaped onto her back, paws sheathed of course. "Hazestorm! Attack her from the front!" he shouted to Hazekit. He noticed how toned down Silverpaw's skills were. Otterkit was curious, he wanted to see what her fighting style was like when she was REALLY fighting. He'd have to wait until he was an apprentice, and in a battle, though.

Just before Otterkit lept, Silverpaw noticed a very slight understanding in his eyes. Silverpaw recognised that understanding as the knowledge that she was toning down her skills and smiled softly to herself. Not many cats, let alone kits would be able to pick up on that. She felt strangely proud of the kit, almost like the feeling of a mentor with her apprentice. Silverpaw pretended to cry out in pain as Otterkit lept on her back. Attempting to keep the kit balanced on her back, she lowered her face to Hazekit, inviting the kit to attack.

Hazekit, seemingly the opposite of Otterkit, didn't prefer to fight, yet kept in mind that he would have to learn to fight if he was to keep his friends and the clan safe from invaders if he had to fight. Which he had taken the small account of how Silverpaw was training to be a warrior and couldn't fight to the peak of her abilities without hurting either him or Otterkit. Yet when Hazekit saw the small opening, he took a leap towards Silverpaw's face to "Finish" her.

"Yeah! Go Hazeki-- storm!!" Otterkit cheered from Silverpaw's back. He understood that Hazekit didn't like fighting, however, he was confused why Hazekit was having a hard time playing along. Maybe Hazekit didn't want to play? Otterkit was puzzled at Hazekit's actions. He should have been eager to attack the 'badger', they were playing pretend!

Hazepaw just attempted to play along as he batted at Silverpaw's ears and head to try and be menacing for the playing. He wasn't too concerned about hurting Silverpaw, since he didn't have his claws out, but at the same time he was afraid of being too rough with someone who wasn't an actual enemy.

Silverpaw noticed that Hazekit looked slightly reluctant to fight and mentally made a note to not play any fighting games the next time she met Hazekit. She mused to herself if Hazekit would make a good medicine cat, or if he just didn't like fighting but would love to be a warrior. A medicine cat's path wasn't for everybody. Running in a circle with the kits carefully balanced on her back, she flopped down and let out a whimper of mock pain. With her tongue lolling out, she pretended to "die", making sure that she didn't roll over and squash the kits in the process. Smiling to herself, she wondered how the kits would fare if ever they were faced with an actual badger. By then though, they would probably have learnt the badger defence.
(Hazepaw, I'll continue addressing you as Hazekit for the sake of the timeline. Hope you don't mind!)

(I don't mind! I just put Hazepaw because of an absent minded moment and forgot they were supposed to be kits still in the game.)
Hazekit hadn't given thought to how he would fare as a warrior, but it wasn't more that he didn't want to fight, it was more so along the lines of he was afraid to hurt what little friends he had. He knew that the skills to fight and defend were supposed to be used to drive away the enemies of Iceclan and to protect the kits, elders, queens, and others from intruding predators like Badgers and such, yet he just couldn't see himself hurting either a friend or someone from Iceclan, lest he was provoked probably, like as if a warrior went rogue and decided he didn't want to be in Iceclan and wanted to kill a kit, surely he'd stand up and fight the rogue rather than let it have off with an innocent little kitten who barely had much of a life to even see. Yet he couldn't see himself as a medicine cat though as he still wanted to be on the front of the lines of Iceclan's defense... Though the more he thought about it, the more reasonable it came to be in these few moments of silent clarity. He was quiet, he'd rather help his friends than hurt them, he thought a lot more than he acted, it was almost as if it was a given. Though these thoughts quickly escaped him as Silverpaw rolled over "dead" to show the victory of both himself and "Otterstar." Yet his first instinct was to make sure she was okay rather than hop around and chant victory for something he hardly took part in.
