Seeing the glimmer of concern in Hazekit's eyes, Silverpaw thought she understood why Hazekit didn't really like this playfight. After all, she had had moments like that too as a kit. She could see potential in Hazekit too, potential to be a warrior who would fight to the death for her clan. Rolling onto her paws, she padded over to Hazekit and dipped her head, whispering quietly to the kit,"It's an honourable thing to be worried about your friends. After all, what being a warrior is all about is protecting your clan and those who cannot protect themselves, like kits. As long as you keep that in mind, and protect innocents with your life, then you will never hurt those who don't deserve it. Just remember, even in a haze of trying to protect others, that the enemy might have a story to tell, and possibly a reason for attacking. And don't worry about hurting me or your mentor later on, we can handle it." As Silverpaw mewed that, she thought back to when she was a kit, star-gazing with Snapkit. She saw a pattern in the stars of a mother dog taking care of her pups. That had taught he to think more about the enemy. Maybe the enemy was simply trying to protect their family too. But she knew that, if she was ever faced with a dog, she and the dog would both fight equally hard for their loved ones. It was simply the way of things.
Shaking away the sudden somber mood she found herself in, Silverpaw looked at both kits and asked,"What now?"

Hazekit brightened up when he got the praise from Silverpaw, giving him confidence in how he thought and acted. Which he gave a quick nod in response to the information and the tips she gave him. He knew how much he cares about his mother and knew since he was told about fighting that every thing has a life, purpose, and maybe even a family. Yet there were no exceptions if he was provoked, but he wouldn't want to kill, only drive off an enemy and make sure it doesn't come back. Yet now he heard Silverpaw's question and just looked over at Otterkit, wondering if he had an idea.

"Yes!" Otterkit cheered. "We beat the badger!!" He pranced around happily, proud of his 'victory'.

Otterkit thought for a minute. He plopped onto the ground and scrunched up his nose, deep in thought.

Hazekit just tilted his head as he saw that Otterpaw plopped onto the ground and did the strange thing with his nose. He was a little concerned since he didn't know whether Otterpaw was deep in thought or just being funny.

Hazekit then just gave a small sigh, finally seeing Otterkit's creativity being defeated for once was an odd sight, indeed.

Silverpaw sighed softly to herself as Otterkit slumped on the floor in defeat. She mused quietly to herself if Hazekit had an idea, and if she should try to ask. Maybe she could get Hazekit to speak up more. But, she could also see that Hazekit looked content in his current position as the quieter kit. Shrugging, she mewed,"Would you two like to learn how to really fight? I would teach you the badger defence, but they aren't really common in the mountains. Or would you like to go back to the nursery?"
(I don't mind if you two want to end this thread here)

(Sure, I don't mind either, they have become apprentices anyways.)
Hazekit just went over to his best friend and just sat down next to him, calmly beginning to the groom the other tom, getting the dust off of Otterkit as he listened to Silverpaw's question. He didn't really have much of an idea anyways, but he kept himself busy.

Silverpaw smiled in contentment at the sweet sight of the two kits simply enjoying each other's company. Silently, she padded away, leaving the two kits to themselves. She could see great potential in both the kits and their friendship. I just hope that they'll always stay friends.
