Frostkit nodded quickly. She looked forward to when she could finally roam the territory, learning the tricks of her trade and contributing to the clan. She felt a little like she was freeloading right now.
"I sure hope so. The ceremonies are long overdue." That said, she heaved a sigh of dejection and flopped onto the ground.

"yall could be quiter, you know?" sprucekit said from behind."some kits are trying to sleep yall woke me up when you left the den." He said harshly.

Sandpaw jolted up from Sprucekit's words. She turned her pale head towards the young kit. "Im sorry Sprucekit. I didn't mean to wake you up." Sandpaw meowed in reply softly. Was she really that loud?

Frostkit nodded in agreement with Sandpaw's words. She felt really bad for waking up the kit, so obviously younger than her. Flicking an ear, she greeted the Sprucekit with a simple nod. Briefly, she wondered if Sandpaw would be his mentor. He seemed the right age for that.

"And soon I'll be a warrior." She meowed happily resting her tail on Sprucekit's shoulder. "I might even be your mentor." She meowed.

"Really ? That'd be a great honor. I'm so excited!" He said in awe purring at the thought. he was amazed that she would become a warrior and that she might even be his mentor. " Are you serious, sandpaw?" he asked he was so excited he wanted nothing more than for her to be his mentor. "That'd be amazing." He said bouncing from paw to paw.

"I will be a warrior soon. And if Cloverstar thinks id be your mentor the best, I might be your mentor." She purred softly. She smiled at the young kit. Sprucekit was one of her favorite kits. Of course Frostkit was her favorite but Sprucekit came in a close second place.

"Well i trust cloverstar's judgement. but i hope you're my mentor." he said sandpaw was after all the cat he knew best and they'd met before so he admired her a lot .
