Dappledpaw stretched, and yawned, then made her way out of the warriors den. Not the apprentices, but the warriors. It felt weird, but surely she'd find her place eventually. Not soon perhaps, but eventually. Feeling a bit overwhelmed, she remembered she still had one more apprentice to train, excluding Otterpaw and Moonpaw. Not only was it odd to have all the authority, she also had three apprentices, it wouldn't be long until she became accustomed to the whole "you're a grown up, uphold all, be great" thing. It was scary. Making her way into the apprentices' den, she called her apprentice softly, "Wake up, Moonpaw, it's time to begin training!" then made her way to the entrance, waiting. Instead of following the same teaching pattern, she thought it'd be good to mix things up. While taking Otterpaw hunting, she planned to begin battle training with Moonpaw, and territory scouting/touring with Hazepaw. Moonpaw

Moonpaw was getting comfortable with the apprentices den, already sleeping like a rock. Her sleep was interrupted by her new mentor call. She groaned and got up, stretching. She padded out of the apprentice den and stared at the warrior lazily. "What's on the agenda, O great mentor?"

"Well -- darling, if you must ask," Dappledleaf responded, grinning, "hmm, let's see... battle training!" Hopefully Moonpaw liked battle training, not that it really mattered, since they'd have gotten around to it eventually if they hadn't done it today.
Trotting out of the IceClan camp, she made her way through their territory until they reached the battle training hollow. "Behold," she said, gesturing with her tail while giving a ridiculous bow. This training would be fun, indeed.
"First things first." she began firmly. "Would you like to show me your crouch?" Even though it seemed redundant when in comparison to hunting, it really wasn't. Mind blowing, right? Right. If you didn't perfect your crouch or have a near good one, your launching power would be... well - bad, and most likely sloppy, overall.

Moonpaw was happy her battle training was first, better start the hard stuff first. "Nice." She said coolley. She followed her mentor to the dusty old training area and was ordered to do a crouch. She didn't have the best one, but she did it anyways. Her hind legs sorta ached she started to shake. "Nuts." She muttered under her breath.

Dappledpaw tried to hide a small grin as the she-cat struggled to perform the crouch. She would learn, nonetheless. The way she held herself was making it difficult to stay that way.
Making her way over to Moonpaw, Dappledleaf nudged her hind legs a bit closer to the apprentice's body, and had her lower herself the slightest bit. Hopefully that would help her.
Afterwards, she headed to a side of the hollow, and dropped into a defensive stance. Her apprentice would try offensive(attacking) and defensive(defending) stances. "Well?" she asked, staring at the apprentice. "Show me what you got."

Moonpaw stayed still as the warrior adjusted her stance, yet felt it more comfortable. She watched Dappledleaf go to the other side of the hollow and tell her to go first. Was this a test to see what she can do now? Surely it was, so she sprang, her hind legs carrying all her weight. She landed a few foxlengths from Dappledleaf and waited to dodge her attacks.

Dappledleaf's eyes watched Moonpaw carefully, then blinked as the apprentice landed smack dab(or close-ish) in front of her. Well she was supposed to be attacking, as she was playing the offensive role, but decided to go along with it nonetheless.
Using the little distance between them as an advantage, she lunged forward, then pulled back at the last second. It was an overused trick she performed, and it did wonders. As it almost always tricked them, she would dart to the side as the lunged forward(natural reaction) and they would end up exposed for a short period of time.

Moonpaw braced herself as Dappledleaf sprang forward, but was surprised to see the warrior back up and go to the side and knock her down. Better keep that in mind for later. She then turned on her back, even though she was exposing her underbelly, she would kick if the warrior if she sprang. "This is fun." She meowed during the training session.

Dappledleaf wasn't surprised when the apprentice was caught off guard, but instead of taking advantage of her situation in which Moonpaw was temporarily exposed, she backed away, and dropped back into a defensive stance. Moonpaw surely had something in mind, or something she'd seen practiced enough to give it a shot. All things considered, it wasn't the most equal of fights, seeing as she was a fully trained warrior and Moonpaw was hardly over the age of a kit.

Moonpaw was somewhat confused why Dappledleaf didn't take the shot, must be that she wasn't a mousebrain, but better remember that move for later. As her mentor got into a defensive stance, Moonpaw decided to act. She flipped over and then attempted to tackle and pin the warrior. She didn't care that she was smaller and weaker, she had to do something besides run like a cowardly kit.

As the apprentice tried to flip her, she had been a bit distracted(caught of guard even), and she'd managed to fall over. Though, her legs(being as fast as they were) were always there to help her out. As the apprentice wasn't at her full potential or strength, it was easy for Dappledleaf to slip out, then move away.
"Good! Trying new techniques never hurts, you might even end up inventing something that could come in handy(pawy? i dont think so)." she praised, thinking for a moment. "Would you like to try a more defensive stance now, Moonpaw?" It was important she practiced offensive and defensive, as they would both play important roles in a fight, or a clan war perhaps(not that she considered it happening anytime soon, but).

Moonpaw nodded, pleased with her mentors praise. She got into her best ddefensive stance, her tail low and her legs bunched up. "Is this good enough?" She asked, her stance still strong. It was actually fun training, maybe she could try a few battles moves on the two other trainees. Or maybe Batman/Redpaw if he got into her mischievous plans again.

Dappledleaf gave a quick small nod, then readied herself. It was important they learned as much as possible. Deciding to show a move shown to her once or twice, she moved back a bit, bunching her muscles, then leaping.
"If you circle your opponent for long enough - at a fair to fast pace - it'll become dizzying, leaving your opponent open for a short period of time(like most battle moves).
After leaping closely to her apprentice, she darted away, and started circling the apprentice - occasionally switching directions. Once/if the opponent got dizzy, it left time to pounce.
[Sorry, my posts are slow. I've been super busy, have a soccer tournament to attend to, and have tons of homework[assessments, school work in general] to finish, and it's just -- ugh. I haven't been finding the time...]

Moonpaw watched as her mentor circled her, changing directions every so often. She didn't focus on it so much so she didn't get dizzy, though she heard the running stop and she dodged her mentors pounce by a hair. "Whew." She murmered to herself before launching herself at Dappledleaf, hoping to knock her over.
(Its OK! I have a lot to attend to too,got bowling and some confuzzling math classes)

As her apprentice used ears over sight, she smiled. Good, she knew what she was doing! This wasn't half as bad as she thought, considering how clueless she was herself as an apprentice.
Rolling away as her apprentice launched themselves at her, she got up and gave a quick tweak. "Leaping, launching: whatever you wish to call it... be aware that it can and most likely will you leave you exposed at times. She sat, curling her tail over her paws gingerly. "Try not to leap so high(less power, more exposing), but leap more forward. This will help you with my leap's strength as-well."
[Math is so time-consuming... it's easy - overall - but very time-consuming D: ]
