i must become a lionheart Batkit's name was Batkit. Ergo, he was a bat and could definitely see in the dark. That was the logic, right? The little tom was sitting on the top of the fresh-kill pile in the camp, his head tilted back to watch the moon and stars.
His balance was upset when the pile seemed to tremble. Batkit let out a frightened squeal as everything shifted, and he toppled down to land at another cat's paws. "Oh. Was that you?" He questioned, eyes blinking innocently at the shadow.

Another cat landed on his paws and he jumped back, startled. "Ouch!" He hissed, lashing his bushy tail. "That hurt!" Frostykit frowned, stepping away and pinning his ears back, staring at the stranger. "Who're you?" His head tilted. His gray eyes examined the tomkit. He'd never seen him before. "I am Frostykit." He'd calmed down a bit but still seemed a bit wary of the other kitten.
"What were you doing up there?"

i must become a lionheart Batkit flipped back over onto his paws, ears flicked back apologetically. "Were they your paws? Sorry. Though, they did make a pretty soft pillow." The pale calico purred as he stood, shaking out his short coat. "Name's Batkit. Now, are you a friend, or foe? You did just try to knock over the fresh-kill pile to kill me." He flicked the other tom's shoulder gentle with his tail to let him know he was teasing, but hopefully Frostykity would take it as such. Batkit was typically that friendly and forward. "I was trying summon the courage to fly away." He replied honestly with a deadpan expression.

"They were very much my paws.." He muttered, frowning. He flicked his tail and shook his head. "I- wha?" He said, baffled. "I di-" He realized the other kitten was joking and he managed a small sigh, then smiled faintly. As Batkit answered his question he jumped back, astonished. "..Fly!?" He'd seen a bug do that before. Was there really a way to do it?
"H-How!?"

i must become a lionheart "Well, I did say sorry," Batkit repeated, though this time he was trying not to laugh. It wasn't polite to chuckle at the awkwardness of others, he knew this, but Frostkity seemed so very uncomfortable because of him. It was either be amused, or be offended. He actually considered it a victory when Frostkity gave a little smile, and beamed in return.
"Well, we're named after traits, or things out parents aspire us to be, right? That must mean I was named Batkit because my parents wanted me to learn arial maneuvers to give our clan an advantage on the battlefield. Imagine the looks on the other clans faces when they see me swooping down on them!"
