A dark warrior entered the camp and stretched his large frame. "Oh mother dear! I'm home!" He chuckled as she looked about his home. Eyes calm and yet distant. He was here, but for how long? He was a good warrior, but he was not a sit at home type. He loved roaming, as he always had. "Care to see me mother?"

Sandkit heard a strange voice. She knew she should be asleep, but that voice made her want to go out and find who it was. 'What if it were a attacker? Like a rougue?' Sandkit thought. She needed to get ready to be an apprentice, she needed to learn how to protect the clan. Sandkit knew what to do. Sandkit got out of bed and began in a hunters crouch sneaking out of the nursery. She stalked under the rock near the entrance and and sat there looking for the creature.

Stepping out of the nursery, she spotted him and froze. Her eyes wide and her heart racing. Moving up next to Sandkit, the Queen stopped and leaned forward. Touching her nose to the toms ear. "Darkheart. You are alive." She spoke her sons name with love and respect. Ears perked and eyes warm and kind. "Sandkit, this is my son and former apprentice, Darkheart. The Tom that dragged two drowning cats out of the water at the same time on the same day he became a warrior. " she seemed proud and sad all at once. Those days were long gone now.

Sandkit looked up to the Warrior and dipped her head. He must've been a great warrior before he disappeared. "Nice to meet you Darkheart. I'm honored to meet you!" Sandkit sat down next to Silentstep and looked at her paws.

"No need for that now. I'm no different than anyone else. I just learned that others lives are more important than my own." He mused as he nudged his mother and then looked at the female. "With the right training, you will be as powerful and brave as me." He adds warmly.

"Maybe you are right. Who knows." She spoke, seemingly amused. Her eyes locked on Sandkit. "I think she will do great things."
