The meadow was a rather nice place.
Lily wanted some time to relax. Well, not completely of course. Still, slightly more than she usually was. At least here she could be more comfortable than in the dreadful canyon. Apparently Unity came from around there, but she couldn't imagine living there. Lily enjoyed her life in the plains. Though... She often wondered what it would be like to live with other cats again. Like when.... She was a kit.
She shook her head. She was walking around, her paws often being quite fidgety. She looked up from the ground where she'd been staring, to see a bright pelt of a cat. She stared.
"... What are you doing...?" She asked.

 BLAZE OF THE PLAINS What a beautiful afternoon! The sun was shining, a refreshing breeze ruffled grass and fur alike, and tiny edible creatures scurried about in the greenery. Blaze wasn't very good at hunting. Besides - it was stressful, and who would want to waste a day like today being serious? He'd rather go hungry and enjoy the weather.
So the orange-pelted loner was bounding through the meadow aimlessly. Upon hearing a voice and catching sight of another cat, however, Blaze skidded to a halt. Was it another DeathClanner? No, this cat didn't smell like the marsh. He approached a little hesitantly and waved his tail in greeting.

Lily stared.
It smelled and seemed to be another loner. A remarkably friendly loner, but a loner nonetheless. She remained calm, despite her paranoia spiking up. There was every possibility this cat was simply an actor and was trying to mess with her. Why? Well... Considering that they had never met she was sure, maybe this was a sadist. Or perhaps this cat wasn't acting and was just stupidly open with everyone.
"... I am fine." She responded after a moment. Even if this loner was about as intelligent as a brick, she didn't want to give anything away.

BLAZE OF THE PLAINS Blaze gasped in shock. "Huh? Only fine? That's not good at all!" he remarked with a frown. As far as he knew, the only days when he hadn't had the time of his life usually involved fighting. There was the time someone tried to get him to spar and he fainted… oh, and of course he'd been pounced on by a DeathClanner once.

Lily officially thought this cat was a moron.
A moron without a speck of sense about self-preservation. Randomly wanting to do something fun with a total stranger?! Lily was starting to get paranoid and overly worried about this seeming moron. No loner would be thus stupid! She need to get herself out of this. Fast.
"Oh... Fine is just my everyday. And I'm good with nothing exciting." She rambled quickly, refusing to give into her wants and back away from Blaze.

BLAZE OF THE PLAINS After a brief hesitating pause, Blaze's whiskers drooped. He was no expert on reading others, but it looked like Lily wanted to have nothing to do with him. Did she not want to play? Had he done something wrong? The other loner hadn't even introduced herself in turn, and that was never a good sign.
"Um… sorry. I'm not gonna make you if you don't want to," Blaze murmured at last. He looked deflated, as if all his happiness upon finding a potential new friend had suddenly evaporated. Lily was fully aware of her impaired social skills.
She tended to allow her mind to run away with her and it in turn made her what was possibly overly wary of every cat. Though, she was able to tell that Blaze was severely deflated by her reaction. The cat who was either an extremely dangerous enemy or simply extremely incompetent had somehow sent a pang to Lily's heart. Now she felt rather bad. She nervously scratched at the ground with her claws, an absentminded expression on her face. "Ah... I didn't mean anything rude by my words. I just prefer a mundane lifestyle, because excitement means danger..." She explained quietly.
