Dakota thought that the mechanical man was pretty funny, despite the fact that he probably wasn't meaning to be funny. Just the idea that the man had gone to jail was funny to him. Dakota was pretty sure that the man was one of the people with the least experience fighting among them, but he didn't want to say it out loud in case he was wrong. Dakota was about to say something when he heard a voice say something above them. Dakota looked up, but didn't really see anybody. He was about to grow a vine so that he could climb up to the rafters to see who was talking about slaughter when a table rose up instead.
The girl that stepped down from the rafters looked a little older than Dakota was and she wore a lot of dark colors. She floated down on the table and he couldn't help but notice that she had stolen it right out from under Roy's feet. Dakota then turned to the lady with the brown hair when she began to speak again. She was saying that they should probably introduce themselves and then went straight to introducing herself. She was Beatrice and she had sensory magic. He wasn't really sure what that meant, but he supposed it dealt with the senses. Maybe she could control other people's senses. That would be cool.
Dakota noticed that Roy wasn't saying anything so Dakota decided that he could introduce himself now. "Nice to meet you Beatrice, I'm Dakota. I have plant magic. I can grow them and talk to them. It's really fun." He smiled and then just to demonstrate sprouted a giant stem and leaf beneath him that swooped him off of the ground. Dakota patted the leaf that he was now sitting on and looked at his new team mates, waiting for them to say something.

Adira nodded at Riti. Even if the woman did seem a little proud, she would accept it for now. After all, the woman hadn't harmed the ants for whatever reason, so she had Adira's grudging acceptance, even if not harming the ants was simply an oversight. "Then I apologise for my actions, and thank you for not harming the ants or Ignis." That said, Adira reached into her jacket and pulled out a few sugar cubes, dropping them onto the floor with a mutter of thanks at the ants. They deserved a treat. Hearing the other woman step forward, Adira returned to the conversation, hearing Beatrice introduce herself and say that she had sensory powers. Adria had no idea what that meant, but knew it was probably something along the lines of using her senses better than most. Like a hawk, basically. The man stayed silent though, seeming to have something to hide. Adria shrugged. Thye would find out the truth in time, after all. Dakota was next to introduce himself. Plant magic? It certainly did seem like a good companion to her own powers, even if she couldn't summon animals. Adria couldn't help but smile a little at the boy's exuberance. He reminded her of a little fawn, polite and gentle, and altogether a little too excitable. Innocence was something to be revered in the jungles, and Adira was a wild girl through and through. Seeing that no one else seemed to be forthcoming, Adira herself stepped forward. Their team had a nice array of powers, and they seemed to be proficient in using them. Even the telekinesis woman seemed well-versed in her powers, probably leading to all that arrogance. "I'm Adira, and my power is animal based. I can speak to them. This is Ignis."

Ritika wasn't necessarily completely disrespectful, and through her pride she felt deep sympathy for the group, including herself. There are so few of us, she thought earnestly, wishing to speak her thoughts allowed but not daring to. We hardly stand a chance. After nearly everyone had spoken, Riti raised her hand slightly, the other arm crossed stiffly across her abdomen. "This is lovely, everyone," she said suddenly, her sharp eyes darting around each person. "I'd love to stay and talk, but I believe we have a war to fight for our former enemies? Let's not waste precious seconds on chit-chat." Riti pursed her lips, thinking, then took several paces forward so she was a bit closer to the whole of the group rather that off to the side. "First off, who are we fighting - what for that matter?" Riti continued after a brief hesitation. "We need to know their weaknesses, their strengths. I want to know where they go for everything, whether it's to eat or to sleep or to use the restroom, I want to know. What's that going to take?" Speeches and lectures and whatnot were common from Ritika, even if it wasn't her place. She was well aware of her blunt interruption and disregard of the boy with the mechanical bird, but didn't mind much. There was something about that man, simply his nature in which he carried himself and the intelligence that radiated from him that made Riti intimidated by his presence, which was completely unusual for her. She couldn't place a finger on why exactly, and therefore didn't know where to point her dagger. Until then, she would just avoid confrontation.
|I'd like to mention that this is a wonderful roleplay so far! Thanks so much for sharing it with us, Marshpaw!! ♥|

With a new set of legs the bird was finished once again. He smiled at his contraption and was about to begin winding it up again, but then he looked up. The first thing he noticed was a girl floating down from the ceiling on a table. Huh. Pire watched her land and then hop off of the table. She seemed very poised and kind of arrogant, much more like the kind of people he was used to dealing with. Pire decided that it might be best to listen for not instead of building, and so he listened.
What he heard was introductions and what he saw was a boy in a mask, whose name was Dakota, create a giant leaf that he sat on. Interesting. Pire had never seen other people use magic and now that he was seeing it up close he was quite impressed. The only external signs of his magic was that his eyes changed color. The girl who had come down from the ceiling began saying stuff about their enemies and who they were and what they did and their... Bathroom habits? "We are going after the group of magic users who murdered the royal family. I thought that was obvious?" Pire had been informed of this the second he had been released from jail. Had everybody else not been? He hoisted his backpack up again, something sharp jabbing him in the back as he did it. Pire decided to ignore that for now and figure out what it was later. Most likely it was just a part that he had shoved in there wrong.

Elenora stood up in the tallest tree she could find surrounding the castle walls. She stood there scouting the round pillars and towers of the castle trying to find an escape route if anything were to go wrong. she looked below at the ground to see if there were any guards watching her. The tree's leaves got in the way of her view so she decided to shift in the tree to get a better look. Her foot shifted to far on the branch and her foot dangled sighing with relief of not falling out of a tree for once, she loosened her grip around the branch. Her hands slipped and her weight became uneven forcing her thin body off the branch and hurtling towards the ground. Landing on her back, all the wind was knocked out of her. She gazed to her left towards the castle and seen two guards shouting and running towards her. She sighed and tried to get up to run, but she couldn't move. The Royal Guards showed up seconds later, their breathing heavy and their armor clanking. The guards grabbed her arms and forced her up into a standing position. Elenora groaned then complained to the guards about their man-handling and how it hurts for someone that just fell out of a tree. "State your business here!" one of the guards spat in her face. She mumbled to herself about how rude his tone was and decided she should reply, Nora is a terrible liar," I came to join the Mystics." her tone was firm and steady. She turned towards the other guard and noticed she was taller than him. The guards said no more and started to push her towards the castle. She purposely said "ow" every time they nudged her closer to the castle. She looked up at the castle before her, her draw dropping at the mere size of it. The castle looked a lot smaller from that tree. It wasn't long before she found herself being pushed further down towards the door and the end of the hallway. The guards stopped to let her open the door but Nora hesitated, the guards pushed her into the door, making the doors swing wide open. She fell to the ground with a thud. Nora pushed herself up to a crouch and brushed the dirt off her black leather pants. She tried her hardest to hide her blush when she looked up at the people in the room. At first Nora's eyes were just scanning the small crowd for danger, when her eyes seen the most beautiful blue eyes ever. Nora just couldn't stop staring which made her blush even more. She turned away from the man which took a surprising amount of mental strength and faced the rest of the group. "Umm, Hi. Seem as though there is a boy sitting on a leaf, I think I am in the right room. Are you guys a part of the Mystics?"

[ Aww, thanks Petalfur. Glad you like it. ]
Beatrice had to admit, that boy with the mysterious mask was very friendly and even a little bit polite. The masked boy who went by Dakota seemed ecstatic about introducing himself to the group. Anyone could guess that the boy was friendly, and enjoyed being around others, but that presumption was only based on the current situation. That was when he pulled something rather impressive, summoning a leaf to use as a chair, which was very unique. Beatrice simply smiled at the boy, and decided to return the kindness. "Nice to meet you as well, Dakota." It was a simple group of words, mostly meant to make sure that she got off on good terms with Dakota, since it would make it a lot easier that way. Then the girl with the falcon went next, introducing herself as Adira and her falcon as Ignis. Her eyes drifted across the room, catching a glance of her other teammates, taking note of how the man who last arrived was still focused on his little machine and how the man with the scarf was utterly silent. In fact, the man with the scarf hadn't said a word to anyone else, but Dakota, which almost seemed strange. However, Beatrice wasn't one to judge, and decided it was best to just dismiss it as shyness or as anti-social behavior. The only thing the mercenary could really do was hope that it wouldn't get in the way of the mission.
That was when Riti, the girl who had pretty much presented herself as arrogant, stepped forward, trying to push them hastily towards the action. Stating that she wanted to know every detail of the enemy, including some things that almost seemed rather useless to the mission. She wasn't even aware of who they're enemy was, which was rather surprising since she most likely signed up herself. However, Beatrice didn't agree with her methods, since knowing nothing about one another would make it a lot easier. There was also the fact that they didn't know the names of the other two members in their group. "Excuse me, but if we want any hopes of completing this mission, we need to know one another. We don't even know t-" That was when Beatrice was cut off by the abrupt opening of the door, which made her cast her eyes upwards. A new arrival had been shoved through the door. This arrival being a girl with brown hair, dressed in a corset and leather pants. The girl pushed herself up into a crouching position, and stated that this was most likely the Mystics, which was correct. "You're in the right place, you missed the introductions though. I am Beatrice, by the way." Beatrice stated simply, watching as the girl glanced around and blushed as she faced the man who was covered in fabrics.
Beatrice then straightened herself out, deciding to once again continue her little debate against Riti. "Anyways, as I was saying before I was interrupted. If we don't know anyone's name or power, how can you expect us to win this against someone who has magic as well? For all we know, there are great teams here that can work well together. Getting straight to the action can get us killed. We also have a late arrival, so we will have to catch her up on the situation." Beatrice explained, being somewhat blunt over the situation. When she mentioned the new arrival, she glanced at the girl who had arrived. She then remained quiet, having no more points she felt the need to state.
Despite the fact that the table was back on solid ground, Roy decided it was best not to kick his feet back up on the table. He may have felt more comfortable in his reclined position, but he preferred not to fall over due to a table being lifted out from under him. The idea of it getting removed from under his feet wasn't all that appealing, but then again it wouldn't be very appealing to anyone. With that in mind, Roy simply sat in the chair, and watched as everyone else introduced themselves, hoping that he would be able to make up some fake persona, but that would never go well. That was when the man's strategical mind activated, and thought of all the possibilities of things that could go wrong. For all he knew, his former alliance could find him and pretty much throw him under the bus, and nobody would trust a liar. Roy sighed under his breath, slightly annoyed that he would have to be truthful about who he was if he didn't want to loose any trust. His attention then latched onto the last of the introductions, and the sudden comment Riti made. The lady who had appeared from the rafters stated that they needed to get a move on and get to know they're enemies, but knowing they're allies was also good, right?
Roy simply sat in silent, since it seemed Beatrice, the mercenary, already had it covered at the point. He listened to what Beatrice had to say, not daring to bring attention to himself quite yet. This was mostly because he was still hashing out a few points on what he was going to do when he had to introduce himself. However, before she could finish, another girl was shoved through the door and practically tossed to the ground because of such. Roy's gaze drifted over to her, watching as girl got back up after her fall. The girl scanned the room, like anybody would, but once her amber eyes drifted over to him, she simply blushed and looked away. Roy was unfamiliar in the idea of someone blushing once they saw his face, but decided it was best not to question this unfamiliar behavior. Rather then doing so, he went back to the point at hand, and began to listen to the conversation that started up once more. One thing became apparent though, if this meeting was adjourned soon, they would probably loose valuable time. There was only one thing that he could do at this moment, and it was the only idea he had. Since they were both correct, he decided it was best just to agree with both of them.
"Well, you're both right. If we don't know each other by name we won't be able to warn one another, and if we don't know the enemy, we won't be able to plan an attack. So why not just get all the introductions done as quickly as we can and get a move on?" Roy stated, trying to create a compromise between the two. He decided that now was the best time to introduce himself, since he really couldn't think of a more improvised plan then the one he had at the moment. So Roy stood up, showing his full height, which was rather tall. "I am Roy Dremetris, and I am able to conjure illusions." Roy stated, introducing himself to every in the room. He had a plan for if he was going to get attacked, just in case anyone in the room had any grudges against the name for some specific reason, even though he uncommonly went by it as a criminal. With it all out in the air, Roy waited to find out what the result of this would all be.
[ .... Oh gwad, I wrote a book.... sorry guys. xD ]

Riti's harsh blue eyes confronted Beatrice, who had spoken up in defense of the introductions. The woman let her ally drone out until the large doors to the commons room swung open and a brown-haired, interestingly dressed girl was flung in. After surveying the new girl with a sharp look-over, Riti returned her focus to Beatrice, every bit about her eyes as hostile as they get. Once again, before she could speak her thoughts, which would include a beautiful spectrum of curses, insults, and witty remarks, the warrior woman was interrupted, this time by the quiet man at the table. Roy, he said his name was, pointed out the similarities in both Riti's and Beatrice's arguments, which annoyed Riti to some extent. She wasn't a big fan of being wrong, in any way, but she would accept this advice. "So be it," Riti responded sullenly. The older man's comment about her not knowing about the situation stung the girl, so she decided to address that next, so she turned to Pire and said, "And I'll have you know that living on your own for ten years in the woods will make it a touch hard to gather information." It wasn't necessarily true. She wasn't, in truth, aware of who had killed the royal family, but only that they were dead. It was the one time Ritika wasn't able to gather information; all other times, she had been able to become enlightened on things that no one wanted known about - deepest, darkest secrets of every person. It was a talent of hers. "I'll reintroduce myself, then," Riti said, her eyes taking a more neutral tone as she focused on the new girl that had just entered, "I am Riti. My abilities focus around telekinesis."

Nora carefully scanned her surroundings, she wanted to be sure about everyone. For some reason Nora couldn't figure out, her gaze kept shifting back towards the guy who introduced himself as Roy. There is something about his blue eyes, I have never seen that color before....
Nora listened as the girl named Riti told us her name and power. Telekinesis , Nora thought, that is pretty cool. When Nora finally decided to speak, but she couldn't find the confidence in her voice to speak loud enough. "Well since some people are saying what there names are," she paused," my name is Elenora Stranger." She smiled only a little for being in the same room with so many people at once, was a big deal. Elenora thought back to her time isolated in the woods. She sighed and then remembered she forgot to tell these people what her power was. "Oh. I can turn invisible. See?" Elenora thought back to being invisible and walked to the other side of the room. She felt much more comfortable being invisible. She looked at the art work in the room and the seemingly flawless clay vase in front of her. Being Elenora she took a step forward, tripping over her long legs and falling straight into the vase. The vase smashed into tiny peices on the floor, the pieces flying around the room. Maybe they will blame it on Riti, she does seem a little irritated. Nora slowly went back to the other side of the room, and turned visible again. She felt like an idiot."Well that was elegant," Nora all but spoke to herself. She once again found herself looking back up at Roy, it almost started to annoy her. He was her new fascination and he didn't know, yet. She didn't know of any criminals because of her lack of social content, so him being the Bandit King didn't ring any bells. She scanned the room once again, looking at everyone taking their appearances all in. She didn't know who the other four people in the room were, but she would hopefully find out soon.

After Dakota had stated his name a girl, who looked about his age, stated that her name was Adira, and her falcon's name was Ignis. Dakota gave them a little wave from his spot on the giant leaf. He pulled his legs up to his chest and began petting the plant slowly. The girl from the rafters seemed angry. Dakota wondered if he could do something to calm her down. She seemed to want to get a move on and figure out their enemies. The mechanical man said something about the royal family. Dakota wasn't really listening to the humans, instead he was listening to his plants.
"You humans are all so different." It murmered. Dakota continued to pet the plant and nodded. "How do you expect to win if you can't get along?" The plant asked. Dakota realized that two of the girls were arguing about something. "We'll make do." He whispered as he pat the plant. He looked up at his team mates again and caught the roof girl introduce herself. Riti had telekinesis. He would try to remember that. Dakota's smiled widened as he heard a vase break. He turned around to see who broke it only to find that nobody was there.
When Dakota heard a new voice he was slightly surprised. He hadn't heard the girl enter since he had been talking to his plant. When he turned to look at her he noticed that there was an age pattern going on. He didn't think any one of them was older than thirty. Perhaps the older magic users were all dead or so secured in their secrecy that they didn't dare come forward. Perhaps this group would consist entirely of the young adults. In the short time that Dakota studied the new girl, whose name was Elenora, he realized that she kept looking over at Roy. With a wave of his hand the giant leaf was gone and Dakota was standing again. Feeling defensive he walked over to stand beside his friend.

Adira winced as the other women in the group started arguing. It was disappointing, to say the least. If they couldn't even agree on such a simple thing, how would they fare when faced with big decisions, important ones? Not very well, Adria predicted. Shutting herself off, she sighed. I'm not getting involved in this. I swear, animals are sometimes so much more mature that I have no idea why I speak to humans at all. Once the argument seemed to be settled in a way, Adira returned her focus to the room. It seemed like the man, Roy, managed to diffuse the situation. Adria had a feeling that he was used to leading, somewhere. She was happy to allow him to lead this mission, if he wanted to. Just as she was about to speak up with an idea for information gathering, she was interrupted by the sound of the door opening. This time though, it was no refined entry. A girl, dirty and ragged, was thrown into the room, and glanced up, asking if she was in the correct room. Adria couldn't help but let out a chuckle of amusement. Where else would she be. The dungeons? Still, she watched as the others introduced themselves again. The new girl could turn invisible, though Adira wondered if she could turn other things invisible too. That would be useful indeed. Startled by the sound of something shattering, she looked up to see a vase, lying on the floor in pieces. Immediately, she suspected Riti, but Ignis begged to differ, insisting that Nora was nearest to the vase. Shrugging, she stepped forward to introduce herself, "I'm Adira, and I can speak to animals. Also, if we do ever need to gather information, I can send ants and other such animals into their camp. They should be able to understand human language, though sometimes it's a little iffy, especially with nouns. The local animals normally speak in a whole different accent from me, so that will also be an issue."

Beatrice spared a side-ways glance at the man who had spoken and stated that they were both right. She felt it slightly leaned a bit more in her decision, but shrugged it off. He also stated his name, which narrowed down the unknown faces to two, which was the engineer who had gone to jail and the girl who had practically crashed into the room. After the man who went by the name of Roy introduced himself, the girl who had just arrived went ahead and told everyone about herself. The girl who had just entered went by the name of Elenora Stranger, and she claimed to be able to turn invisible. Beatrice had to admit, the power was very unique and even at times she herself wished to turn invisible, mostly because it would make her job a lot easier. However, the idea was always argued by her fighting style, since she was mostly an up front fighter that slashed with a large sword. Elenora had proceeded to demonstrate her powers, making them well known to the people in the room. "May I say, very interesting." Beatrice commented, trying her best to be kind.
That was when curiosity gripped Beatrice, and she began to wonder if she could sense the invisible girl. Her sixth sense was mostly based on what it felt around it, so surely the girl wasn't like a ghost in this state. Beatrice was about to reach out with her sense, only to hear a loud crash ring into the room. Her sensitive ears immediately picked it up, and out of impulse, her eyes opened to take a look at the damage. A clay vase that had been placed in the room had been toppled over, and now laid in small brown fragments on the floor. Beatrice wasn't completely sure if that was Riti's fault or if someone else somehow managed to knock over the poor vase. That was when her ears managed to hear Elenora's mutter, which instinctively made her suspect she had something to due with the vase smashing. "Well, I guess the guards won't be too happy about that." Beatrice sighed. She then looked at the engineer who had yet to introduce himself. "Care to introduce yourself?" Beatrice asked him, waiting to hopefully hear the name of the man.
Roy couldn't believe what had just unfolded in front of his very eyes. None of the room had recognized him as the Bandit King, nor did any seem to recognize him as a criminal. A triumphant smile was upon his lips, but was luckily hidden by the navy scarf that covered his nose and mouth. Besides, if he were to guess, it would be easier if everyone here thought he was a respectable man with wishes to help his kingdom, instead of a coward trying to hide from the bandits who betrayed him. However, what made him even happier was the fact that he had managed to settle down the two ladies who were probably on the edge of a heated argument. Some of the others began to re-introduce themselves, so Roy simply leaned against the nearest wall and listened. The girl who had glanced at him multiple times now, stated her name and demonstrated her powers. After she had disappeared, Roy glanced over at Dakota, noticing that the boy had stepped closer to him. That was when Roy got a little bit concerned, perhaps the girl knew who he was, but was too scared to say anything? Roy simply shrugged it off, if she was too scared to say a word, she wasn't a big issue.
That was when there was crash, and the clay vase near Roy had fallen over and smashed into pieces. A few of the had even managed to reach his feet. Out of pure caution, Roy took a step back, hoping that he wouldn't get blamed for it. It wasn't likely he would get blamed for the vase shattering, but more so he just didn't want to be. Roy wasn't sure what exactly happened, but with all the powers in this room, it could nearly be anyone. For all he knew, some of the people in this room could get a kick out of breaking things. Roy wasn't one of those people, mostly because it just created an irritating mess that got in the way. Shortly afterwards, the girl who went by Elenora appeared a few feet away. Once again, she looked at him, which for the most part was starting to get on Roy's nerves. He didn't like the idea of someone constantly looking at him, but that was mostly because he was a criminal. What criminal would want to be stared at by someone who they thought recognized them?

Okay so maybe Pire wasn't exactly paying attention. Instead he was thinking of all the times he had talked with the king. There hadn't been many times, but the man would drop by every so often. It was strange to think that he would no longer be Pire's employer. He wondered if he would have to find a new job after this whole fiasco with the magic users was over. Maybe the Mystics would become heroes and he wouldn't have to find a new job. Perhaps he could create his own engineering lab. He could supply inventions to a bulk of the world, instead of just one kingdom.
Pire was only snapped out of his daydreaming by a loud crash. He looked up and saw a shattered vase. He didn't know much about the pottery in the castle, but he knew it was expensive. He wondered who had made the vase crash to the ground, but nobody was around the vase so he couldn't tell. Pire shrugged it off. He was about to walk over to the vase to pick up the pieces when Beatrice faced him. She asked for him to introduce himself and he realized finally that all the others had already said their name and powers and that all he had said was that he had been to jail. Not exactly the best introduction.
"I'm Pire." He started and faced the group. He was slightly surprised to see a new face in the group as he had suspected that the people who had already been there were all that were coming. "I'm an engineer for the castle, well I was until I got arrested." Pire sighed for a second and he remembered. "I can see some futures." He added in. His power was hard to explain so he preferred not to get into it now, but he was sure that somebody was going to ask for some palm reading or something. The guards had teased him about that before. His power didn't work like that though, and he would probably explain it later, but for now he wouldn't.

After Nora broke the vase, she stepped back until she hit the other side of the room. Thankfully There wasn't a painting or pottery behind her. When she turned visible again she searched the room to see what some people's reactions were. When she didn't get any, She felt some what uncomfortable. So, Nora, turned back invisible and just listened to what everyone had to say. She did double takes of everyone in the room, and realized that the boy with the plant ability moved beside the man named Roy. Nora had nothing to say so she sat cross-legged on the floor, hoping no one would move towards her, because they might trip. Nora felt a slight pain on her elbow so she lifted it up and tried to examine it. All she could see was her white long sleeve shirt, covered in a small patch of blood and dirt. She did not realize how dirty she actually was until just now and she longed to go back to the hidden cave she lived in. Her cave was near a waterfall, about three miles from the castle. Her clothes were never dirty because she always washed them in the waterfall. Sighing she tried to remember a little bit about her family. Even if they were horrible parents she still tried to remember some of her childhood. Her mind just went blank, she couldn't even remember what her parents looked like. All she could remember was their presence and neglect. Nora just wanted to go back to her little cave behind the waterfall, but it was too late, she was already here. The guards would not let her go home now. She was pretty much spying on the castle, up in that tree. Stupid tree she thought, If only I didn't fall out of that stupid tree. "The people we are searching for, do they have powers as well?" She asked. Nora put her elbow on the floor and started to start up, she winced at the sudden pain in her elbow, remembering she had a decent cut there.

Little Wolf, new to this strange place, walked in through the doors, a large black wolf padding by her side, her daggers hanging in bearskin sheaths that thumped softly against her doeskin pants. She petted the wolf's head, but then nodded with her head for it to go back out of this place. It blinked at her, before it turned around and ran outside. For a moment,Little Wolf watched it run, before the large doors closed behind it. From outside she heard the wolf let out a long deep-throated howl. In her mind, she pictured it bounding down the hard path until it got to the forest and then continued home. She blinked and then stood in front of the doors, her bright yet dark green eyes gazing around at the odd structure or whatever this was. She then noticed there were other kids here, and her eyes narrowed in confusion. What tribes are they from?,she wondered. She, spotting a dog laying by a wall, walked over and sat calmly beside it.
