Aloepaw/AndriThe sun had gone down long ago, and the snow danced across the sky, almost glowing in a brilliant white light against the inky darkness of the fallen night. The small flakes floated gently upon the breeze, merely twirling fairies, caught adrift upon their flight. Many had fallen asleep while the night was merely young, now not a soul was awake within the deserted camp. Or so one would think. For, as opposed to what it might seem, the lonely area was not as empty as it first seemed. One small kit traveled silently through the night, seeming unaffected by the falling ice. Failing to notice how lonely some might be in such a situation. Boredom was a disease, only to be cured by the company of another, or immersing oneself in something that peeked their interest, even just a little. For this young, lone soul, it was nigh time to seek out the source of such disease that festered within her being and bring it to a halt. However, as of now, it did not yet faze her. And so she kept up her wandering until she happened to admit to herself that is was due time to find a cure for this sickness before it got any worse. And so she went out in search for company. Of which happen to take her little to no time to find at all. (Wow, the only character I can start a thread with. My posts will deteriorate within this thread, I just know it.)

Having just woken up from an evening nap which lasted too long, Cinnamonkit let out a huge yawn as he stepped out of the nursery. The weather had become much colder lately. Not that he minded; he was a mountain cat through and through, it was just that his pelt had yet to grow out fully. Most of the fur was still kitten fluff.
The young tom came to a sudden halt, jaws snapping shut in surprise, when he'd had a good look around. Tiny white balls of dust were falling from the night sky! Cinnamon stared for a moment with wide eyes. Then he bounded off towards the nearest feline.
"Look what's happening! Are the stars falling on us? They're cold!"

Maybe the night wouldn't be so boring as the young one had fist assumed, though assumptions are rarely correct. She was soon faced with a younger companion of her own, and seemingly the source of remedy she'd been seeking. Her small ears prick in gentle curiosity, her blue gaze casting itself upon this new kitten, her whiskers twitching good-humouredly at his sudden outburst. It did seem rather like the stars were falling from the sky. White flakes soaring down from the great heights of the heavens above. That is where our ancestors like, real easing snow and rain, sleet and sun. The reign over us like gods and goddesses, watching our every move. She glances up at the sky once more, the snow was cold. She'd never really noticed before. Flicking her ears the young one returns her attention to the other, brushing of her slight shame of her rudeness.
"No, the stars are not falling," she purrs in a sing-song tune, her voice accented with slight amusement. "See this?" she asks gently, batting at the fresh icy powder upon the ground, smile at the stark contrast between the whiteness amongst the dark shadows. "This is what's falling on us right now. I believe it comes from Cloudclan" the she-kit explains, glancing once more at the falling ice with a bemused and thoughtful smile. Her eyes momentarily wandered toward the camp entrance, and she winded to herself what it might be like out there, but she merely passed it off as a wait and see deal and returned her full attention to the other, offering her name. "I'm Harmony. What's your name?"
(Well, it didn't get too much worse...)

Contemplating the obscure droplets of Cloudclan, the anomalous kit turned to his nursery-mates. Solicitously, he padded towards the two. Giving a curt nod of greeting, he purred. "Hello, I'm Sunkit!"

(I'm sorry Sunpaw but if a thread has p or private of any form on it anywhere(most likely comments/title) then this means that it is only open to those tagged and/or invited and to join you must have permission from all the people it concerns. I'd allow you to join but it also must be okay with Cinnamonkit and therefore it may be best to delete your post. If you wish however, you may have a separate reserved thread with Harmony if you would like to I do apologise if I seem rude, I'd just hate for you to get a harsher response from someone else. Thank you )

(Yep, as Harmony said, this thread's sorta private. I wouldn't mind roleplaying with you elsewhere but I'd rather keep it to two people here - it can be a struggle not to get left behind when there's a whole bunch of people posting. Sorry!)
Torn between watching the other kitten and the night sky, Cinnamonkit tried alternating between both, but looking up caused a few flakes to land on his face. He blinked and sneezed in surprise. However, Harmonykit was responding by then, so he glanced at her instead of continuing to accumulate snow on his muzzle.
"Wow! I didn't know CloudClan could do this," Cinnamon chirped with gleaming eyes. He followed the tortoiseshell's lead, rearing up to balance on his haunches whilst attempting to bat at the falling powder. Driven by curiosity, he even lunged at one snowflake with open jaws, but it vanished instantly once it had landed on his tongue. The white-and-ginger tom dropped back to all fours after that.
"Oh, my name's Cinnamonkit. Are you just Harmony or do you have a Clan name?" he questioned. "My mother had one of those short names but I haven't seen her since I was very young. She doesn't really visit me…"

The tortoiseshell kitten laughed slightly as he followed by her example of batting playfully at the snow, watching as he lunges to eat the icy white powder. If this snow is from Cloudclan, does it mean that it's falling clouds? the young one things to herself, experimenting with the thoughts in her mind as she whisks her tail like a whip based propeller. Twitching her gently tapered ears, the kit turns her formerly captivated attention back upon her company and smiles. No, I am actually Harmonykit. Though I do prefer to simply be called Harmony" she responds with a shake of her head and shining eyes. Her gaze softened as she looked at the Tom, as she felt sympathy from him. "I don't know my mother, so there is no upset there. I do hope you see her again soon. Who is she?"

Cinnamon momentarily forgot about the joys of discovering snow once Harmonykit piped up again. It seemed they were in very similar boats. He knew both his parents, at least, but his mother seemed to be gone and his father didn't stop by the nursery much. At least Pumpkinspice was in the same Clan.
"Oh. Well, I hope you find your parents one day," he meowed. "And my mother's called Brine! I don't know if she liked me since she didn't want me with her for long. But I still want to catch up with her eventually. I'm gonna make her proud!"

The young one nodded in response, the snow falling around her in an almost eerie yet pleasant way. "As do I" she responds simply, tucking her tail over her paws as if to protect them. Her eyes wondered the star and snow filled scene, the blackness still somehow outweighed the light of the stars and snow. It seemed almost as though the darkness of the night was causing both to scatter and fall from the heavens. The kit had no words to describe this, other than amazing and wondrous. "I'm sure there was a reason she didn't keep you. There's a reason for everything, you just have to look a little harder" she purrs gently, listening to his words with great intrigue. "Of course you will. No doubt."

There was no denying that this new form of precipitation was fascinating. The bobtailed kitten found his attention drawn once more to the dark sky. It was… serene, and beautiful in a lonely sort of way. Nevertheless, the snow was cold above everything else, and Cinnamonkit was shivering slightly before long.
"Yep! I bet CloudClan's got it all planned out. They'll make everything better at the end," purred the tom in his naivety. "Er… It's sorta chilly out here though. Wanna talk more inside the nursery?"
(Aw, Harmonykit's too nice. Unfortunately since I used to play Brine, I can confirm that there will be no fairytale ending, but that won't stop Cinnamon from believing.)

(Aww. I'd say same with Harmony. She's a believer in all things 'ha, when pigs fly')
The young one's eyes flickered back upon the bicolored Tom and noted his shivering form. Resting out here in the cold snowy moonlight, it wasn't long before she herself was also shivering, her chocolate tortoiseshell coat fluffed up to protect her from the chill. Offering him a gentle smile and matching the tom's purr, the she-kit couldn't help but feel he was right. Well, being as optimistic as she was, anything could happen within her little brain in sorts of everything working out. Pricking her ears at his next words she nodded and stood swiftly, shaking the powdery white snow off her coat before smiling at him once more. "That'd be a great idea" she purred gently before leading the way inside, settling down in her soft mossy nest, momentarily watching the crystal like flakes from the shelter before peering through the darkness at her new friend.

Cinnamonkit trotted quickly after Harmonykit, eager to get out of the cold. He let out a quiet breath of relief once they were back in the warm den. Nice as the snow was, he'd rather watch it than be out there all the time.
"Hey, what do you want your warrior name to be?" he asked out of nowhere after flopping down in his own nest. "I was playing this game the other day with Whitekit where we pretended to be warriors, it was great. I think I wanna be called Cinnamonheart."

(Aww, not Cinnamonroll?) The young one almost jumped when the Tom spoke out of nowhere, laughing slightly as he almost fell onto his nest. With a slight purr, Harmony rolls onto her side and stretches out her front paws, tail swishing gently against the ground. "I think I'd like to be called Harmonysong. Or maybe Harmonmist? I'm not sure, image if the last part of our names were the same." the young kit purrs at this new revelation, could that even happen? The tortoiseshell kitten wasn't really sure. Peering over at her friend she offers him a light smile. "That's a lovely name" the she-kit purrs gently, blinking at him with bright sapphire eyes.

(Haha, I don't actually know what I want his warrior name to be. Roll was the original suffix idea, since I'd been joking that we needed a Fei'lan and Cinnamonroll on the site, but then this actually happened and I'm not sure how warriors-y a -roll name would be. I guess I'll think about it! In other news, maybe we can wrap this thread up now that they're apprentices? I want to make a group thread in the apprentices' den soon.)
"Both of those are nice," Cinnamonkit commented. "It would be funny if our warrior names ended up the same though - we could be Cinnamonheart and Harmonyheart! Or Cinnamonsong and Harmonysong! Or --" he trailed off into a big yawn, suddenly tired despite his nap earlier. Apparently playing around in the snow had been enough to wear the kitten out.

(No problem, was thinking the same thing) The she-cat purrs happily, glad he approved. She chuckled slightly at the thought of his suggestions, mulling over some ideas of her own. Blinking at him with shining eyes, she noticed his yawn and realised just how tired she was too. "Let's get some rest" she purred, laying down and yawning as well before resting her head on her paws, peering over at him. "Good night, friend" she purred gently before closing her eyes, eventually drifting off. (Finish?)
