Sprucepaw followed her into the brush. "I meant with your mouth." He said " i don't care if you give it a good swiipe." He said as he dropped to a hunters crouch and began following the scent alongside sandstone.

She smiled at Spruce and licked his head affectionately. "I'm glad I have you to help me with this Sprucey." She purred softly crouching next to Sprucepaw and the scent suddenly vanished.

Sprucepaw purred and returned the gesture. Then he stiffened "i lost it." He whispered "i lost the scent." He looked at the she-cat in confusion "where could it've gone?" He asked sniffing the air.

Sandstone looked around concerned. "I..I dont know!" She whispered. She looked at her future mate. "What do we do?" She asked.

Sprucepaw looked at her with confusion "i guess we go look for it where we lost it." He said starting to move forward.

She nodded slowly watching him as the both began searching for its scent again. She didn't smell anything but Sprucepaw. "Nothing here." She called.

"Yup, nothing here besides a beautiful she-cat." He said looking at her and smiling. "Although i wish we coulda got it." He said sighing.

Sandstone purred softly and went up to him and brushed against him twinning her tail with his. "And a handsome tom cat next to me." She purred into his fur.

Sprucepaw let out a deep purr and leaned into her touch. "I'm glad you're here with me sandy, or else i might get scared." he said laughing and giving her a lick between the ears.

She purred back and returned the lick. "You scared? I think that'd be me." She laughed. "I mean now that I have my big strong Sprucey I feel safer." She said kindly feeling the warmth in his fur.

"You,, scared , i don't believe a word of it." Sprucepaw said. then he blushed at her next statement "i can always counnt on you to give something a paw over the head." He said giggling.

"Oh believe it, love." She purred softly. She giggled softly smiling as he finished the statement. "Well im just glad we have each other. I dont know what I'd do without you." She meowed softerclosing her green eyes.
