For the one and only Cookie, please!
Panda padded through the territory, her paws carrying her, even if it were without her consent. They'd been walking so long, paw steps treading lightly in the case of another cat, or a rival gang. It was frightening, but if she were to let Cookie see that in her... She shook her head. No, she wouldn't let anyone see her soft side, not unless they were truly important to her.
As they'd finally reached a large, abandoned building, Panda turned triumphantly to her sister, eyes shining. "We're here, Cookie!" She smiled a genuine smile though that was only ever for Cookie. Perhaps if they'd met their parents... Thoughts like this hadn't gotten her anywhere, though. "Ready to check it out, then?"

(ahhhhhhhhhhhh *word that would get me kicked out* thanks for posting again ughghersghawpgviubwpgv;iegvnj i kept forgetting about this thread)
Cookie's paws hurt.
Every so often she'd pause while Panda was lost in thought and look at them, frowning. She felt like her gray paw pads should hold up better than this, but they always ached a little bit when she put them back down. She'd trot back up by Panda's side, glance up at her sister (her face set in the usual vacant determination).
She'd nearly fallen into the rhythm of it herself and so was slightly surprised when Panda called for halt. As soon as she'd processed her sister's words, she thunked her rear down on the ground, stretching her front paws away from her.
She looked up at where 'here' seemed to be--a huge Twoleg construction, like their dens, only even larger. It was bizzare, she'd always thought it that, because though Twolegs were larger than cats, they weren't that much larger, so why on earth did they need all that room? One didn't do anything in a den except sleep. Perhaps their nests were just enormous.
No one seemed to be there. She hadn't heard Twoleg activity for a long time, in fact, and hadn't seen a monster in a refreshing while. "Okay." She flopped one ear down, twitching the other. "Let's go."

Panda looked back to her sister, just to make sure she was doing all right. She seemed to be, in Panda's opinion. Did her sister regret the choice they'd made? She hoped not...
Padding into the large building, she looked at the faded red that was the color of the wood. It smelt of many previous cats, and several others scents. Was that the scent of mice? She remembered the toys that resembled mice the two-leg kids made them play with. The scent was fake and artifical then. It was quite strong now.
Maybe Cookie was hungry? She lashed her tail silently, then dropped into an awkward crouch. Unfortunately, she hadn't perfected it before Lynx disappeared on her. She gave a nod in Cookie's direction as if some sort of cue, and launched herself at the plank of wood that lay on the ground, as the scent was strongest there.
Immediatly, a mouse shot out, and Panda was too late to catch it. Once she'd turned around, she realized it was headed straight for Cookie! Perhaps her sister could catch it!
(ew it's kind of long, sorry)

(ew gross literacy)
Cookie took a long sniff of the air. She had an acute sense of smell but it wasn't very neatly honed at all, and all she could detect in the pretty woods was a huge mish-mosh of cats and mice and prey. Would they eat prey? She supposed so. She hadn't really thought this all through.
Clearly, though, Panda had. She offered Cookie an awkward look, then dropped into an even awkwarder stance--though it looked fairly impressive to Cookie, who watched her curiously. Panda nodded at her, and Cookie widened, her eyes, confused. Was she supposed to do something? She fell into an even worse version of the crouch Panda had shown, no clue what on earth was going on.
Panda leaped, and Cookie saw the little shape flit out, away from her sister's paws and at last realised what exactly was going on. The little creature was heading straight for Cookie, and she did an awkward hop before lunging forward, her paws on either side of it and plunging her muzzle towards the little creature.
She caught it by the neck and swished her paws in to grab it, flopping onto her belly as she did so, and nipping it's neck quite messily. She stood up and took a step back. "Oh."

Panda gave a triumphant meow. She couldn't help but let out a laugh, grinning at Cookie. She certainly hadn't been expecting that at all. But hey, at least she caught her first mouse! Cookie was most likely smart enough to remember the scent of a mouse, too.
"Great job, Cookie," she praised. Now they had to eat it. She'd already tasted mouse, thanks to Lynx, and thought it had actually tasted quite nice. Especially in contrast to the tasteless, hard peices of kibble their two-legs had fed them.
"Well?" she asked, looking at her sister expectantly. "Want to take the first bite?"
(also, do you know someone named lauren that goes to visitation?)

(YES i carpool with her to choir she's hilarious how do you know her???) (happy thanksgiving also ) Cookie sat up with a jerky motion, still staring at the catch. She twitched her whiskers. "That was weird." She looked up at her sister with a slow, sliding motion. "Oh. Right. We're eating it." She frowned at the little body-- it looked kind of sad, lying there all crumpled, but it didn't smell half bad and she knelt down to frown at it, and took a small, nibbly little bite. Chewing and swallowing, she discovered a flavor she wasn't entirely averse to, though she had a hard time swallowing it. It was still better than what she was used to though, in some ways, though she wouldn't prefer it. She slid the carcass over to Panda. "So... Are we going to stay here?" She licked a bit of mouse flesh off her teeth. "Or are we really going to the Clans?"

(oh cool! i asked her about you and she didn't know where she might have known u from. i'll tell her)
"Okay," Cookie mewed, taking another bite of the food. She wasn't sure how to describe it. She'd eat it, of course. It wasn't necessarily better or worse than kibble, just very different, but the whole sort of... vibe of it was nice. Did Clan cats catch birds too? Maybe she'd prefer birds. Though she couldn't imagine eating any feathers. Did you eat the feathers or pluck them off? Wouldn't they bother your throat?
Cookie glanced up at her sister as she spoke. Was her vocabulary expanding with her uncertainty? Panda looked a little anxious, but she might have just been tired. Cookie was never really sure. To try and appease her either way, Cookie stretched her face into what she thought might have looked happy, held it for a second, and relaxed immediately back into indifference. "It's not bad, so far. I mean. It's not. It's not. It's not that different. Like--it seems like a normal thing for cats to do, right, like. Yeah. It's not that different."

(sorry it took me a bit to respond, I had literally no inspiration whatsoever and my muse is p much butchered (lazy) )
Over time, her sister did seem to be adapting to everything, and it appeared that even she found the mouse to be tastier than kibble. She wondered why the two-legs gave them rock-hard food. She'd heard the two-leg animal doctors made special food; like kibble, by shoving all the nutrients into one small bite. Honestly, it sounded disgusting, now that she thought about it.
She had to admit, it actually wasn't that different. That was if you compared to their recent way of living, at least. When they were first taken in by two-legs, their life was simple and easy. They got to sleep all the time and eat all the time. That wasn't living though...
"All right," Panda said, getting up to stretch her limbs. "If you're ready to begin, I am too!"

(lol same) (also yoyoyo guess who gets to be at choir tmorrow from 12:50 to 8:30) (u guessed right its me)
Cookie had a couple more bites of the mouse; little as she cared for it, she knew logic demanded that she fuel her body. (Though she was not one to take very good care of herself normally, she felt it was about time she give Cookie a little break from the job.)
"Sure," she mewed, swallowing. "Start on what?"

( holy what that's a long time also the lazy replies will keep coming atchaaaa. it's come to the point where i click on the post, look at it, and then close it... heh ^^'' )
Panda paused to let her sister finish the mouse, then jumped to her paws, suddenly bursting with excitement. Cookie always taught Panda things, and now it was finally her turn. She finally felt like she could be of use to her younger sibling.
"All right!" she yowled loudly, while totally ignoring any other living being that was being disturbed by her presence. She could've cared less, to be quite frank.
"First things first, we must learn crouching," the odd-pattered she-cat began, waving her paw aimlessly (and possibly almost smacking Cookie). "There are two types of crouches: one for hunting and one for fighting!" Her tail, like her paw, was also moving erratically. "Are you ready to begin?"

(lol same)
Cookie withdrew her head back toward her body and widened her eyes at her sister in a more comical way to tell her that she was being loud. Panda, on the other hand, seemed to have no such qualms and continued enthusiastically. She jumped back as her sister's black paw waved around erratically in the air.
She paused for a moment, feeling a little sleepy, and swayed on her feet as if deciding. After a second, she nodded her head, then verbally assented in case Panda hadn't noticed.

( oh my gosh i'm so sorry for missing your birthday party!! hope it was great btw. I really wanted to come, and I even got a gift, but I wasn't feeling well this morning )
Panda wasn't sure if Cookie was tired or not, as she noticed her sibling sway on her feet. Pausing for a moment, she considered asking her if she was all right, but then brushed it off. She would end the training short today.
"First things first," she meowed, dropping into a crouch. "I'm going to demonstrate hunting crouches today!" She had nothing to hunt, so instead focused on a large piece of wood laying not too far off.
Her tail was low to the ground, but not touching it and her legs were loose for the time being, though were close to her body. She kept her ears flat to her head and once she had gotten close enough to the wood, her muscles bunched up. She gave a little wiggle of her behind then lunged, claws unsheathed and digging into the wood.
"It's pretty easy to get the hang of. Would you like to try it?"

(well we already dicussed it but ily obvs dont worry i love the donald trump book) (also sooo late but have a merry christmas!)
"That looks really good," Panda said, pausing to nod gratuitously at her older sister. She blinked hard as she tried to recreate the picture of the crouch in her mind, and then slid awkwardly into an imitation of it, editing things after she arrived there. She straightened her tail-- she hardly moved it anyway, so that wasn't really a problem. She tried to crouch even lower so that her belly fur brushed the ground, and on an afterthought, flattened her ears like Panda had done (though she wasn't sure it actually made a difference.)
"Like this?" she asked, trying to creep forward quietly.

(glad you do! it was more or less to make you laugh xD and merry christmas to you too)
She smiled. "That's good," the oddly-patterned she-cat mewed. Everything seemed accurate, though she hoped Cookie wouldn't ask about the crouch too much. Lynx had never explained things like: why do cats flatten their ears? Wouldn't that lessen their ability to hear? She didn't know, nor care enough to ask.
"All right, now I'll show you some battle skills," she mewed, looking to her sister again. "Are you OK with that?" She knew her sister was capable of anything, really, but she just wanted to assure that her sibling didn't mind some training sessions that involvled fighting.
(want me to go ahead and ask for permission since you have three more posts or wait until you have two more?)
