Dewkit twitched her whiskers, letting her ears stick up on her head to listen for other cats. Other voices seemed far away, and their scents likewise, before cementing that she was safe to walk around a bit outside.

However, she forgot to scent constantly and ran into another kit. She stumbled backwards, eyes blinking uselessly. "Ow, watch where you're walking!" Dewkit mewed angrily, lashing a tan tail.

(whoops.)

[Dovefur]

Dovekit noticed that she had bumped into someone
The scent was a kit

"Sorry I'm really sorry
I cannot see"
She meowed sadly

Great I made someone angry
Dovekits useless blue eyes blinked
"I'm blind" Dovekit admitted 
"I cannot see you"

[Dewmask]

Dewkit blinked her useless amber eyes. "You can't see?" Dewkit mewed, tilting her head, even though it was a useless jesture, "it's alright, I really should've payed attention to other scents. I'm... I'm blind as well."

Dewkit padded back a few tail lengths, making sure to keep Dovekit's scent on her nose. "What's your name? I'm dewkit."

[Dovefur]

Dovekit smiled
"I'm Dovekit a former loner"
She meowes


"Nice to meet you Dewkit"
The silver black Toretoiseshell tabby meowed


Another cat that understood
Dovekit smiled again

[Dewmask]

Dewkit nodded, trying to scent Dovekit again, get her scent burned into her mind. The tan kitten mewed, "I'm also a former loner, actually! Sort of weird at our shared histories..."

Dewkit smiled at Dovekit's scent, before patting down at her head fur. Dovekit wouldn't know. So long as she wasn't a kittypet former as well...

[Dovefur]

Dovekit smiled
"Your a former loner too!"


"We have two things in comman"
She meowed

Dewkit was nice and friendly

Dewkit nodded. "Well, this is new. So, uh..." The tan kitten sat down, twitching and ear, "what should we do now? I mean, we're both blind... How do you get around? I use scents now, but I think I could use my hearing a bit more..." Dewkit thought she heard cats returning from a patrol or something, but she ignored it to talk to this fellow blind kit.

(whoops!)

[Dovefur]

Good question
"Our ears and nose are much better than seeing cats"
She meowed

"We could use that as an advantage
Sight is only one sense
We can use smell and hearing much better"
Dovekit spoke


"Well I have not learned how to use the two senses I can properly
Its kinda difficult"

[Dewmask]

Dewkit nodded. "Yeah. I've been using my high scenting ability, and I think I can use a bit of hearing to pinpoint locations." The tan kitten sat down, putting her paws over each other before just placing them side by side. "I can sense my own movements easily, but others I have difficulty with..."

Dewkit hummed slightly, "Could there be another blind cat?"

Yes there is Dovekit said to herself
"Yes I think there is a few
I only met you and another one"


Dovekit smiled
The silver black Toretoiseshell tabby started to speak
"He is called Foxpaw"

[Dewmask]

Dewkit nodded, mouth agape, "Really? There's an apprentice who is blind?" Since we're both blind... "Well... Do you know what you look like?" Dewkit asked, twitching both her ear and her whiskers.

(hey look we're gonna be apprentices around the same time!)

[Dovefur]

She nodded
"My birth mother told me"


"I'm a silver black Toretoiseshell tabby"
Dovekit meowed

Dewkit nodded, trying to form those general colors together in her mind. She didn't know what the colors looked like in the first place, but she tried her best. "Alright." Dewkit mewed, "According to a loner I met before I was dropped in this clan, I'm apparently a tan furry kitten with a brown mask on my face, or something." Dewkit patted her head fur down, mewing, "ever since I learned that my head fur stuck up, I have been.... Patting it down, even though I can't see it..."

[Dovefur]

She met a loner!

Dovekit tried to keep in mind how 
Dewkit looked like

Dewkit nodded. "I had sensed his presence before he approached me, so he decided to take me with him." The kitten brushed a paw down her brown face, "Then I woke up in the Treeclan Nursery a few days later with nobody in scent range, only that his was old. I kind of freaked out." Dewkit smiled to herself. "In hindsight, he was doing me a favor."

Dewkit's tan tail lay untwitching against the ground. Dewkit walked a bit closer to Dovekit, trying to sit right next to the kit if she didn't move.
