He grew nervous as well as he watched Cinnamonpaw approached. He was astonished when the apprentice got it by the wind. He was trying to weigh it down. Whitepaw, a little frantic attempted to help him weigh it down by jumping up and trying to cling onto it's leg by getting a grip with his mouth. He managed to get a hold too. He wasn't sure if they'd be able to get this thing to stop flapping but they could try and work together.
He wiggled frantically to try and get the bird to fall over.

A single fat apprentice was one thing, but the weight of two apprentices quickly caused the crow to fall out of the air. Cinnamonpaw accidentally crushed their prey under himself when he landed on the ground. He was disoriented for a moment, then sat up and gave his pelt a shake.
"…Oh. Hey, we got it!" Cinnamon exclaimed upon realizing that he'd squashed the crow to death.

He tried to contain the urge to laugh as the apprentice literally crushed the bird with his weight. He managed to contain himself when Cinnamon said they'd gotten it. "It sure didn't see that coming.." Whitepaw was astonished they'd managed but the fact that Cinnamon had literally flattened it made it all the better.
"Good job. You.. definitely did your weight in work."

"I guess you could put it that way," giggled the patched tom. He rolled away from the crow and back to his feet, still a bit unsteady after being in the air. That crow had seen better days but fresh-kill was fresh-kill.
"Er, so what do we do with it now?"

"Someone's going to wonder why this looks so flattened." He laughed. "I guess bury it if we decide to keep going on our little adventure? That, or we should take it back to camp then we can come back out here... What do you think?" He cocked his head.
"I'm good with either!"

Cinnamon nodded in agreement. "Let's bury it, we can fetch it again on the way back." He took a moment to dig a shallow hole in the frozen rocky earth, claws protesting a little at the rough work, and dropped the squashed crow at the bottom.
With that done, he turned towards Whitepaw once more. "Alright, let's keep going!" chirped the apprentice with an eager little bounce.
