Darkstar trotted a little ways out from where her clan's camp was. She was sure that her clan wouldn't mind if their mouse-brained leader was away for a little while. With all the excitement going on, the clan wouldn't even notice.
Darkstar laid down in the tall, yellow grass, letting it engulf around her body. The wind had picked up and was noticeably cooler than it was yesterday. The days of Greenleaf had finally resided, allowing Leaffall to come.
Darkstar kept her head up in the grass, staring out into space, not paying much attention to what was around her. She remembered the days of being a foolish warrior. She remembered when she got her warrior name that she thought she was everything. She thought she could beat everyone with whatever challenges they through at her. It wasn't the case though, for she was still young and had much to learn about warrior life.
There was one thing she could win with though. Her speed. She wasn't sure if it was the case anymore, but she was one of the fastest, if not the fastest warrior in the clan when she was younger. She loved to feel the wind baring against her as she ran against it, chasing prey, or just racing her best friends.
