Dappled Leaves by the Nursery (o)

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit huffed, looking away from emberkit, but not stepping away from her. "I... Find most kits silly." the tortoiseshell admitted, waving a tail on the rocks, "I mean, we could mostly be playing with pretend hunting, but What is the impact on our future with moss ball rolling?"

Dapplekit looked back to emberkit, green eyes staring at the cream kit, "and i, well... I want to have a good future in this clan."

The tortoise shell turned around. "Come onto the rock, Emberkit. Sometimes I find it easier to talk in the sun." Dapplekit padded towards the center of the rock, her tail wrapping around her paws once she stopped.

[Embersong]

Emberkit hopped gracefully up onto the top of the rock. She landed with barely a noise and sat down, curling her tail neatly around her tiny paws. "I understand, I want a good future in this clan, too. There is no point in rolling around a moss ball, but if we practice our battling skills..." She looked at Dapplekit, half wanting to see how fast she would react if she pounced on her, but that might have a negative affect. She always wanted to be nice, and she didn't want to hurt the other kit. Emberkit was starting to like her, maybe they could be friends.

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit nodded, backing away from Emberkit and smiling, "If we practice our battle skills, we could have a slight edge on other kits! We could even surprise our mentors." Dapplekit let the sunlight wash over her Orange and black tortoiseshell fur, and tilted her head. "Should we start with that?"

(whoops looks like Lostkit is in the dust atm.)

[Embersong]

"I would love to see the look on our mentors faces' if we surprised them by our battle skills," Emberkit smiled, standing up. She paced the length of the rock, then came back, looking Dapplekit over, finding potential weak spots. Suddenly, she lunged at the other kit.

(yea oops sorry Lostkit, let's just say she's watching us)

[Lostpaw]

Lostkit watched happily as the 2 began to chat, backing up to give then their space. she gasped in surprise when Emberkit lunged towards dapplekit. "play fighting are we? leave me out you will not!" she exclaimed, excitement in her gaze. she jumped towards emberkit, trying to bst her over the ear playfully to get her attention before jumping out of range again, almost falling off the rock in the process.

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit stared after Emberkit's path, wondering what the cream kit was doing. The tortoiseshell kit then looked at the other parts of the rock, trying to gain a vague for her surrounding area of they were to play fight. Her whiskers twitched against the ground, and-

She suddenly felt Emberkit on top of her, and Dapplekit let out a playful yowl, trying to shake the other kit off, and rolling a bit towards her left side.

[Embersong]

Emberkit stumbled off course as a paw hit her in the side of the head."Oof." She grunted as she landed on her paws, one back leg slipping off the side of the rock. She balanced herself again, before looking up and smiling slyly at Lostkit. "Ah, no you don't!" She called, a teasing tone full in her voice. She jumped at Lostkit, aiming to knock her over and possibly pin her.

[Lostpaw]

Lostkit squeaked in alarm as she saw Emberkit spring towards her. She couldn't really evade the she-kit because of the tight quarters and ended up being pinned by the other she kit. Lostkit bunched her legs up and kicked out at Emberkits hind paws, trying to knock her off balance or at least et her off. "suggest might I, that we move off the rock? not safe it is to be doing this up here." she squeaked out, her head only centimeters away from the edge of the rock.

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit felt the weight leave her, and she righted herself, aiming her body squarely towards the two fighting kits. The tortoiseshell lashed a tail, a smile growing on her face from the three play fighting. With a playful yowl, Dapplekit launched herself at Emberkit and let her body force try and push the other kit.

At Lostkit's words, she tried to stop, but it was too late to stop her movement.

[Embersong]

"Aaaarrrggghhhh!" Emberkit yelped, tumbling off the rock and hitting the ground with a thud. "Ow, yea, I agree with Lostkit, let's please not do this on the rock." She pushed herself up slowly, clenching her teeth together as she did. Everything in her body hurt, but she didn't let that stop her and she slyly smiled at the ground, thinking of an attack plan.

[Lostpaw]

Lostkit shuddered when she felt Emberkits weight fly off her. she nervously peeked her eyes open and peered down. Emberkit was on the ground. "Okay are you?" she called down, concern laced into her voice. She jumped down the rock herself, sniffing emberkits pelt, trying to scent blood. She was no medicine cat though, so perhaps they should take her to the healer cats, just to be sure.

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit immediately felt bad. "I apologize!" She mewed, hopping near the cream kit. "Should we take you to the medicine cat? It looks like you're wincing..." The tortoiseshell did not notice the sly smile on the cream kit's face, only that Lostkit was next to her also looking at the smaller kit. Dapplekit tried to pull in her emotions. Maybe this would be a good lesson on where to train...?

[Embersong]

"Surprise!" Emberkit mewed as she pounced at Dapplekit, laughing as she flew through the air. She ignored the throbbing pain in her right shoulder as the wind blew at her whiskers.

[Dapplepaw]

Dapplekit was flung back, and she almost hit the rock. "H-Hey!" Dapplekit yelped, before getting a serious look on her face. "Seems like you're fine! Well then, here we go!" with that, the tortoiseshell crouched, then jumped towards Emberkit, aiming at Emberkit's shoulders and hoping to bat at them. Her eyes were filled with green delight.

Emberkit laughed as she was pushed backwards by Dapplekit. She rolled over and popped up, squaring her gaze on Dapplekit's exposed side. She charged at full speed, but her shoulder stopped her. She tripped and face planted into the dirt at her feet. Shaking her head and looking dazed, she asked "What just happened?"
