[Embersong]

The sun was creeping up over the horizon as Emberkit woke up. She yawned, showing her tiny fangs. Today, she thought as she looked out at the sunrise, is going to be a good day. The flames from the ball of fire rising from the ground licked at Emberkit's pelt, warming it from the outside in. Her whole coat turned a warm golden color, she looked like she was glowing. Emberkit closed her eyes and tilted her head up, reached her neck out as close as she could get into the warmth. She stayed there, letting the fire soak into her skin. She felt like she was about to burst as she started to purr. This moment was one of her favorites, and she never wanted it to end. She sat, ignoring any noises that the other cats in the nursery would make. She sighed as a light breeze swept past her whiskers, making then tingle. She sniffed, scenting out freshly killed prey that sat in the middle of the clearing. She wanted to go get some, but she wanted to stay in the sun longer. Behind her, a leaf crackled. She wiped her head around, piercing the darkness with her bright blue gaze. "Who's there?"she called out boldly.

" oh god do you have to be so loud. Your hurting my ears" the perfect golden kit scoffed. Her perfect blue eyes glittered like jems her body was perfect. Her fur gleamed as if it were woven with stars. She looked down on the fellow kit. Her beautiful eyes scanning the other she cat judging her, was she friend material? The girl sure wasn't as pretty as her.

[Embersong]

"I'm sorry," Emberkit mewed, judging the selfish kitten in front of her, "but I wasn't the one making the noise, you were, and from the way you were acting so prideful, with your perfect pelt, I would guess you were born into a Twoleg home." She almost choked out the words that were coming from her mouth. She didn't mean to be rude, but the kitten in front of her seemed stuck-up. The cat complained about her ears hurting. "I don't mean to be frank, but if you say something else about yourself, I will cough up a furball."

"you basically yelled out who's there. And Jesse what did I ever do to you that you hate me so much. Trust me I'm far from pretty." She said looking hurt.

[Embersong]

"I don't hate you, I'm sorry if I sounded rude, I just think your a little self revolving." Emberkit looked at her paws, ashamed of snapping out at the other kit so fast.

She raised a brow"why would you think that?" Because she's jealous probably she thought. Or just plain mean.

[Embersong]

"I thought that because of the way you said that your ears hurt, I thought that was a little....selfish. I just wanted to know who was behind me." Emberkit mewed.

"how is that selfish I just wanted to say hi. And usually when someone baisicaly yells in your ear you say ow. Anyway lets not focus on that." She sat down. "I'm Rosekit."

[Embersong]

Emberkit was surprised at the instant change in Rosekit's voice. She let the fur on the back of her neck rest, she didn't know she was getting so wound up. "I'm Emberkit." She mewed, sitting down slowly. She eyed the other kit suspiciously. "Sorry if I hurt your ears." She padded closer to Rosekit and smiled, seeing that almost all tension between the two where gone. Sitting down neatly, she mewed, "What's your favorite thing to do?"

"it's fine sorry I made it such a big deal. Hmmm I really like doing people favors, grooming, making friends and I guess making sure everyone gets along" she said. No one will argue over power she thought. And plus only the best hang out with me and this girl is just what I need she's adorable with her little heart nose her tail and legs. No one will ever talk down to my friends.

[Embersong]

"Oh!" Emberkit said brightly, her face lighting up. "Your like me. I love to make sure everyone gets along, and I try to be the nicest I can to everybody. Sorry we got off to a bad start. Maybe we can retry. I bet my favorite thing to do is watch sunrises. They're so pretty, and once the sun pops over the edge of the world, your whole body feels like it's being heated by a fire. That's kinda where I got my name, Emberkit. It's partially because my pelt turns a strange orange-ish color when the sun rises." She stopped, noticing that she just blurted out the most she ever had to anyone before. She smiled again, her big blue eyes squinting closed.

"that's so beautiful."she sighed"hey if we had a good group of pretty she cats like me and you and me we could make sure everyone else is getting along. No one would ever bully us!"

[Embersong]

"Yea, that would be fun! Except, no one was ever been mean to me before, I think all the kits are getting along already. I mean, it's a really good idea and I don't object." Emberkit mewed, throughly delighted with the new idea springing into the kits' minds.

"oh please trust me there's always a bully or son really ugly weirdo " she laughed.

[Embersong]

Emberkit laughed at what Rosekit had said, then thought to herself, What if some mean cat did want to just push me down? What would I do? She sat for a moment, staring off into the clouds.
